I don't think it's the damage that's the problem with Widowmaker, it's how fast she can fire her rifle. It should be bolt action and fire one round per second. She should also NOT hear footsteps of people nearby when she's scoped in, so you can actually surprise her (when she doesn't have wall hacks up).

They seriously took the TF2 Sniper and removed all weaknesses.

Yes, her dual arm 3 barrel machine guns are only effective at close range. Mid range they'll only ever finish off low HP targets. You're a harasser/disruptor, and overall don't bring much to the table over other tanks.

I don't know why people don't use it more, it charges incredibly quickly (sometimes literally two kills if they're bulky enough) and worst case you area deny for 10 seconds, cancel it, keep 50%, and repeat 30 seconds later.
