For anyone wondering about the quality of the experience on feenix I can give you a few ideas.

First and foremost this server is about 2 notches better than the old warsong. Pathing is better but still fucked up in some places. Rares drop no loot and knowing peenix I doubt it'll ever be fixed. The community however is filled with excellent people, yeah they're normies but they're all nice dudes so far on horde. Factions are 2:1 ally:horde right now so if you love ganking this is the spot for you. Rates raised don't take just enough away from the grind to keep you from burning out if you've made the x1 grind several times. I experienced crippling lag twice while playing that only lasted for about 15 minutes, the server has seen no down time however. All in all it's a decent experience for anyone who wants to get into vanilla but can't be fucked to play x1 anymore.

Depends on role and what you feel like doing. If you're on ToD I would suggest buying some high (187-200) level gear just to boost you into heroics unless you're a tank. We'll be running Naxx probably at some point to gear the new people up as well
