The difference between Dakra Prime and Broken War, is Dakra Prime is discontinued, and Broken War is Better, comes preinstalled with a Blue potato, and you get it for free from the end of the second dream quest.

Dakra Prime is Mastery Points, and I guess a weapon that many people won't have, unless you consider the "Dex Dakra", which is a duel swords yearly reward

I thought I was getting carried for my first sortie, but I did the most damage and never went down in a single bit? I understand that this is the easiest possible one to get, infested and the only survival had nothing special.
But mother of fuck I don't have any primed mods or a lot of those special dual stat mods. I just ran a train with Ash Prime for Survival and then had Chroma white for the rest. I seriously thought I was just being a shitter hanger on but then I tore through the boss while everyone kept going down, same with survival.

I guess I gotta wait till the next Sortie and see if this was just a stroke of luck. Even if it does these are not as hard as I had assumed. Fuckin all I got was a stupid mirror that doesn't match mine, kinda blew. Hundred thousand or so credits was okay but still.

Nah, they're also easy as shit to find. You may find it hard to get a forma or two for now, but invest it in a good enough weapon and then mod it so it's useful in normal contents, you'll find that forma blueprints drop like candies in void. For real, they drop like once every 2 runs and I have like 45 blueprints stocked up in my inventory despite having been crafting the damned thing daily since last month. Just run void with people in the clan or go on recruiting chat and run with pubs.
I recommend the Hek, since it has assloads of damage, pretty good at mid-range, cheap to make, easy to mod (there isn't many 10-rank shotgun mods aside from Primed Point Blank, so it won't break your bank fusing them), and will pretty much carry you right through starcharts and a bit past DEAC. It can oneshot everything up to the 40th wave of T4 Defense even without Primed Point Blank.
I don't know about the other weapons though, the Hek is my personal favorite and pretty much the only non-prime weapon I have ever used seriously aside from Lanka, but I think the Soma is also pretty good.

Personally, it's a preference thing to me.
The Hek can use Scattered Justice while the Vaykor Hek cannot. The Justice effect is not nearly as important as I thought it would be, but the 200% Multishot is devastating.
The Vaykor Hek can't use it, so no free pellets for ya, but it has assloads more crit, and its crit build pretty much makes it superior. However it's somewhat tedious to achieve such a build.
Unless you're loaded on either plat or free time, Hek is still the more affordable solution.

Vayhek does have the syndicate effect built in, but it's not too important since it's just an AoE blast that deals 1000 damage. It's not too useful against high level stuffs except for CCing.
Most people don't get the augment mods for the syndicate effect but the stat that comes with it. For example, Hek with the multishot, Burston Prime (lol) for the fire rate, or Furis for Lifesteal.
