Nah, it's pretty fucking retarded 90% of the time and it requires everybody to be retarded to advance the plot. All the complaints about it are quite valid. Chapters 22-25 are pretty decent tone-wise, not gonna lie desu, but then we go full retard again in chapter 26 with le comically evil henchman duo and Takumi suddenly doing a 180 and 100% forgiving you for no reason in endgame so Corrin can always be right is bullshit.

Fates as a whole is just one giant ball of disappointment story-wise. Which is sad because it probably had the best premise and potential.

1. Be able to destroy forts or other spawning points as to cut off reinforcements. Strategic stuff. People do it in real military.

2. Be able to use reinforcements yourself. You can choose other units or generic ones. But you need to find a place for them to spawn and you need some generic units in the first place.

except every time corn fights him, he lets takumi go and shows nothing but remorse, kindness, mercy and compassion toward him. hell at one point takumi even taunts him knowing that he feels guilty about his actions. the possession was making him act much more emotional, agitated, and unwilling to listen to reason despite corrin's continual attempts to reach out to him. once he's dead and his head is no longer being messed with it's not that much of a stretch for him to have a long think over what corrin has been doing and has been trying to do.
