Your ult is used to delete the squishies of their team while making their tanks half or even completely useless. If you land that ult, your team can deal with the tanks with a numbers and health advantage. BC shreds armor with your ulti so you'll take 40% off their hp bar in a decent one.

I have honestly always seen him more as a roaming support than a midlaner. Just gank every lane with an e q combo and peel using your ult, q, and rylai passive.

In lower elo, where people don't understand the concept of invading, you can also play him jungle. He's just a good utility champion, but doesn't bring that same oomph that other mages bring imo.

Just remember that you're still the support, so get wards and never try to solo anyone on even grounds.

After that you got to see what your team needs, but your most useful options are normally a locket of the iron solari because its cheap as fuck, after that its normally a mikael and the game is over.
In case that you got a retard yasuo that is a otp in mother fucking platinum v, then you'll need ap in your team and so your build will need a banner instead of a solari and an athenes instead of a mikael, still very useful options.
