People are under the very very wrong impression that people in quick play are all "playing to win", like playing heroes they're good at, picking smart team comps, etc.

That's what ranked is for. Quick play is for practicing heroes you're bad at or learning all the wacky side flank routes in a map, some people are playing "to win" and some people are playing "to learn". In ranked mode everyone will be playing "to win" so it will be a good representation of how good you really are.

Mercy depends on having good teammates. If your teammates are good, you'll be good. If not, you're useless. That's why most just play Lucio.

Mercy's also not that amazing on Defense. Most of the time your force will die in waves, letting your ult go to waste. She's also not as good as Lucio on KOTH maps.

Basically, stick to only using her on Attack maps, and only on teams that can benefit from your damage boost as well. Bastion, Pharah, 76, Zarya, and Junkrat are great complements.

They won't do it this way. They'll release heroes in groups, like one per role.

If you release one hero at a time, that hero will be in EVERY SINGLE GAME, probably in multiples. If you add a few at a time, it will still happen but less so.

So, I've googled this to no avail.
I get random rubberbanding, but I don't use ROG and I don't have gamefirst III.
Restarting fixes it but it will show up again without warning after a random amount of time, sometimes an hour, sometimes 6.
Fixing it is simple enough but it will happen in the middle of the game and I can't do anything but die or leave when it happens, so I'd love to be able to stop it from happening.

When not shooting the cannons cycle up 3 shots so your first shot does a bunch of extra damage. Gives extra punch when you boost into people like how you're supposed to, but doesn't really buff the dps. Also maybe a bit more movespeed when firing.

Do we know if Torbjorn is going to be changed in the upcoming patch?

I am beyond done with double Torbjorn defenders effortlessly winning the game and then one of the two getting POTG and the other getting a card.

You can't flank them because the turret is either usually placed to deter that or it just does a 360 noscope on you when you walk into its range. Torbjorn is usuaully also defending it.

You can't attack it from range with Widow, Hanzo, or Pharah because again, it snaps to and kills you, or he just makes another one.

I won't even bother explaining why you can't tank the damage because we all know why.

I really want to know who thought this was okay.

This hero "the one man apocalypse" is certainly that, but when it comes to an FPS we'd like to think that most heroes have a chance at killing other heroes. Currently Roadhog can out heal so many heroes on the line up it makes taking a 1v1 fight with the guy actually no fun at all. For the most part, dodging his hook, whilst landing all your abilities should be enough to kill him but a lot of heroes have zero chance, whilst most have a slim chance.

I don't think it's wrong I just think team balance doesn't look at comp elements enough. Half of my games are close as fuck and the other half are blowouts. Supposedly everyone in the game is at the same MMR so the only thing that could make them consistently unfair is the team balance not taking into account who plays what heroes.

Is anyone else not really having a good time anymore?

Now I promise I'm not shilling, like, in the slightest. I bought this game with while not absurd but relatively high hopes. I did intend this to be the new TF2 or big FPS for me.
But I'm really just not feeling it. I did have a great time at the start, using all the characters for the first few times, getting my first PotG, etc, but I feel like that excitement has worn off somehow, to be left with a rather empty feeling.
I'm not coming out of matches with the same pleased and "good game" mentality anymore, I'm just getting sort of disappointed by how little fun I'm having. I'm not trying to physically not enjoy myself, it's just happening.

What's the problem?

Should I be waiting for ranked? Should I be playing will 5 other people I know (usually play with 1-2). I'm pretty desperate to know why the game's wearing thin for me because the blasted thing cost £30.

Anyone else feel like this? Got some advice? I'm lost.

I'm right there with you. I like the GAME Overwatch, I despise the way Blizzard forces you to play the game. Whether TF2 is good or not, you can play whatever map and game mode you want whenever you want. Don't feel like playing payload defense? Don't play it. Overwatch says "It's time to play payload defense now and you'll like it."

I like the Overwatch art, gameplay, heroes, everything about it but I want to be able to play it how I want.
