It's pretty rare mostly because you need a certain condition and they are a read/reaction, but they are by no means impossible to get in a real match at any level.

In melty you have a parry on one button that has basically instant startup. To activate a Last Arc you need to be in Blood Heat (reach max meter and then activate the state) and then just parry an attack while in BH. Most LA are full screen and unblockable. so thay are almost guaranteed on succesful parry with some exceptions.

The reason they don't happen that often is
1) When you hit max meter the meter start to drain automatically and have to enter BH before it drains, and it's not so easy because BH activation is slow and can be baited
2) it keeps draining once in BH so the time to do it is pretty short
3) the parry has a whiff animation so if the opponent doesn't throw out something very dumb and reactable it's still a read that could go wrong

Still not something to ignore at all, just not something you're gonna see every match

How hard is Chun Li to pick up in 5? I can't really do the SBK confirms but I can hit IA legs pretty low. What are some other good things to learn for building up a solid Chun? Pretty much all I've worked on are:

-IA legs (does version matter here? It seems like light version hits the lowest)
-confirm to heavy/ex legs/CA off cr.lk/lp cr.lp, cr.lp st.mp cr.mk
-spacing with st.hp, f.mp, st.mk, cr.mp
-punish with cr.mk into m SBK or h/ex legs, or cr.hp l legs cr.lp l SBK for big punishes
-anti air with st.lk, b.hk, air throw

That's about all I've got. What should I do to confirm in/out of v trigger? Is her crossup flip worth using or just a gimmick? Are fireballs worth zoning with or just useful for covering approaches? What combos out of IA legs (can't seem to get even cr.lp to link after it)?

for the most part people can mash out of dizzy before you can activate instant kill mode and then activate the move itself. also you have to really fuck up to get dizzied

the only real exception is in xrd where if you start a combo when someone is already almost dead you can generally end your combo with it for 50% meter b/c it activates way faster, but under those circumstances you can almost always just kill them using that meter anyway
