The point is that he gets ghostblade for early flat pen and then Cleaver gives him TOTAL %ArP unlike the new last whisper which is bonus. Not only does it help if they do build armor, but targets that don't have bonus armor still get armor shreded and it's a big deal with Ghostblade flat pen done after that calculation.

He can apply it easily and it makes him deal a shit ton of damage all throughout the game.

What are you supposed to do when you're 3-0 in lane as top and you're enemy is basically so screwed all he can do is wait under his tower? Like I'm not confident enough to go for the dive, and he doesn't give me enough time to properly roam because then I lose too much CS and tower health. So what we end up doing is I push the wave into his tower, he farms it, then it pushes back to me and it goes on like that until one of has to recall or whatever.

Funnily enough, that's how the first death on their adc happened. But the rest of the team was so shit we still lost the fight 4v2.

I watched mid and bot but there were never any good tp moments. Bot died the most by hooks into gib and mid didn't understand that pushing the wave to the tower when you are losing is not a safe idea and got fucked by their jg.

The one time I actually saw something worth tping into, they were fighting with no minions and no wards, so I'd have to tp onto bot tower and just waltz up hoping they'd still stay and fight.

I mean going into ranked is just like doing anything you're uncomfortable with at first.
There really won't be a moment where you say "This is it, I'm ready for ranked and I can climb high." you just do your placements and get into the competitive aspect of the game. Two options
When the wave crashes into his turret it will reset the wave, we know this.
Option 1; back and force him to cs so it pushes to YOUR tower and you freeze the lane at your tower to force him to come near you
Option 2; when the wave crashes into his tower tele to open areas of the map where you can gank and apply pressure. Grab a kill or two, back and come back to lane. That fuck cannot follow you because if he TP's into the other lane with you then you'll just kill him again.

Akali is not easy to play. She gets shit on in lane by pretty much everybody and now that she no longer gets sustain first back she's forced to allin at 6 so jungle hovering her lane is a free gank and kill. In teamfights just cc her and pink her w.

She also works in plat sometimes, and if your lane opponent is having an off day and actually lets you cs you can have a lot of fun

You're right and I also have an idea to sort of fix stealth which involves giving blue ward true sight.
But you also need to learn to win that they surrender by 20 minutes, akali has near to none of a chance to comeback after getting decimated in lane. You wouldn't even need more pink wards if you kill someone then take an objective due to numbers. But at your elo, you can practically 1v5.

the ranking system is curved. literally around:
30% of people are bronze
40% of people are silver
20% of people are gold
8% of people are plat
2% of people are diamond
(it shifts a bit from the start of each season to the end of the season because of placements)

it doesn't matter how good or bad people are, there will always be bronze and silvers, and it's just a matter of people climbing up and down.

also note that player pools are separated by time and space (seasons/regions), so ranks from different populations aren't really directly comparable either.
