It's just how it goes. It won't be the standard, obviously, and in why standard has its name, but legacy formats only attract more attention with every set that's released, even if they never surpass standard. But this is by design.

Yeah man, it was a great feeling fighting from behind and coming back with minions and healing. It wasnt great against control warriors, and you almost always lost against handlock but thats okay. Deck still works today too with a few card changes

Think about it. Beast rushes face pretty hard but runs out of hand fairly quick around mid game. Opponent is on low health and you have 2 cards in hand. You drop AoW and now the opponent is forced to deal with it cause he knows each turn its alive is 5 damage to his single digit health. When he fianlly deals with it, you would have drawn into damage from hand or something

I'm pretty happy with my custom shaman so far, latest tweak was -1 jeweled scarab, +1 feral spirit.

I want to remove something for 1 more flamewreathed faceless. Maybe a fire elemental?

Surprisingly have no problems with card draw. Tuskarr often spawns mana totem, and hero powering is good.

Yogg and N'Zoth are legendaries that are also wincons, there are a lot of decks that are built around just castung either of those.

Fandal and Twin Emperor both play big roles in C'Thun decks, although they aren't 100% needed for the decks to function, like Yogg and N'Zoth for their respective decks.

Justicar is good in a lot of decks as well, but not priority unless you want to play wallet warrior.

Thalnos is good to have, but can be substituted for. Also, since he is in classic packs, you might open him eventually.


If I were to rank them, I'd say:
1.N'Zoth
2.Emperor
3.Yogg
4.Justicar
5.Fandal

You should craft the legendary you need for the deck you want to play the most.

I disagree. Freeze mage is good if played correctly. As scary as it seems, warrior is not that bad of a matchup anymore since Tempo is horrendous against us. Only bad MUs for the deck atm are face decks ( face shaman/warrior ) and the remaining control warriors on the ladder.

Lifecoach and Reynad both maintain prospects that exist outside of actually playing Hearthstone... Lifecoach has his poker winnings and stream, Reynad has his TempoStorm business as well as revenue from streaming. In fact, most popular streamers actually LOSE money by attending tournaments even if they place well because time spent at the tournament is time they aren't streaming and making easy money.

Savjz has never been a top tier player and forms his livelihood through streaming, casting, and fucking Zeriyah.

In all cases, actually playing Hearthstone is a small part of these people's ability to generate income and live comfortable. At this point they just play the game and participate in tournaments because it's fun and they enjoy the environment. When you enjoy an activity for the sake of the activity, then external rewards like money stop mattering as much as the intrinsic satisfaction gained from just doing the activity.
