It's probably too late to nab a character or skill today for you, but if you try again after midnight you'll want to remember to "Challenge in their Castle", seize by approaching from the left like I mentioned above, and you can either buy one skill a day at a lower cost, or take a character for free and buy their skills from the logbook at the regular prices. Winning through any other means lets you register a character to the logbook so you can recruit them later or buy their skills.

They only come with the 5 they're equipped with when earned this way, your own Einherjar bought from the shop or registered after game completion will come with everything they've learned though, which is why I went nuts with skill grinding in Birthright in the first place.

What I'm unsure of is if you need to delete a character from the logbook to recruit it again for a different file, I do know you can't grab the same character from the same person multiple times even if they're updated in your logbook (and possibly for their castle), though if they change their castle by updating with a different file it should count as a separate character, and you can't recruit Einherjar/Prisoners/Amiibos from other players, which are represented by the blue shield icon. Anna should be fine though despite being DLC exclusive.

Well, you've just gotten Serra, so you don't have to rely on Vulneraries anymore to heal. Just use Sain and Kent as walls like normal, use Florina for the Mercs, and let Erk get some kills if you plan on using him. Sadly, Wil and Dorcas are kinda hard to use here, but there's no time limit so feel free to wait from them to get out of the starting forest area.

Don't let them swarm you then. You're going to have to split their forces, most of the mages are on one side and the mercs on the other. You can usually take ONE hit from a Wymslayer, and one shot the guys with them, so you might have to risk taking a hit. It's safe for everyone but your dragon to go down in this chapter, but you're going to have a terrible time with the end of it if anyone does. Rinka is useless so pair her up with Wind or something to get him some dual guards to work with and enough damage to take on the Dark Mages, which will likely net him a few levels. Give Subaki the ability to class into Oni Fighter with a Heart Seal rather than Samurai. His growths clearly lead him towards tanking but none of the classes he can go to let him do that. His high Skill will enable him to get through the awful accuracy issues of the class and axes (as well as maybe be critting), his strength will be patched up by Axes and the high base Str growth of the class, and although he'll be lacking even more in Speed, at least he'll have the lowered doubling threshold from the Sky Knight skill.

Has there ever been a top-tier unit in a Fire Emblem game with bad Str/Mag? Like I know that's the most important stat and all, but I wonder if there's ever been a unit who does terrible in might but still manages to make it up through good enough speed, accuracy, durability, movement, skills, and availability.
