I just finished Birthright yesterday and I must say it was unsatisfying both story-wise and gameplay-wise. The maps got it especially bad: before Hans' map, they had its highs and lows but it was nothing too bad. After Hans', it just goes down the shitter and the worst part is that I was having so much not-fun that I sent OUGI paired up with Corrin to do his magic. I never felt so burnened to finally finish a FE game like this... I usually let them rest at the endgame or near-endgame but that's because I like them and I don't have qualms with finishing them like a month later, but with Birthright I felt almost as if I had to do it ASAP if I did not want it to haunt me forever, I did not want to play it later, at all.

The story was crap and made no fucking sense. It baffles me some find it decent or good after the bullshit it pulls, after how anti-climatic it felt. Most of the time it read like a bad shonen, and all the deaths felt unnecessary and pointless except maybe Xander' since he was like a fucking kamikaze you can't reason with. But he was moronic regardless for trusting a stupid villain that brings the story down even more by its pacing, its fillers and its tone.

Garon often gets compared to cartoon villains, "Disney villain", etc. Let me say: he doesn't even have an ounce of a Disney villain, if he did at least it would be hilarious and fun. Completely evil, but fun.
He just straight uses violence without any sort of mind or thought, it's silly. Why not deceipt, corruption, and all that stuff, based around your wits and not IMA KIL U IF U DONT DO THIZ. It doesn't even reauire good writing.
Iago and Hans are worse, and they feel completely worthless anyway. They just feel like Izuka-tier annoyances but at least Izuka was mildly amusing in his manners and has done something relevant for the plot (the medicine that makes you go crazy). Iago and Hans feel like flies you must kill because they bit you too many times.

One final thing before I read /feg/ bullying my opinion: the philosophy talks in this game were shit. At least every FE game had a moment that made me go "Hmm... Let's think about this". Now I''m not saying any of them was deep or a masterpiece in narration, just that it presented its masseages in an ok way and it made sense. Moments that I'm thinking right now are Echidna telling Gonzales he should work on his good qualities, Deghinsea' speech on revenge, poor babby Lyon' struggles, Trabant's mini-story arc, etc etc.
Birthright had nothing like that. At least every rpg or srpg that presents itself with a wider narration than the standard platforming Mario game made me think about its messages. Heck, I used Mario as an example but SUPER PAPER MARIO HAS A DEEPER, GREY MORALITY STORY THAN THIS. And that game is for children!

Anyway, the fact is, Corrin's words on justice felt like they made no fucking sense to me, and neither Xander's "There is no justice". The only thing that left some thought would be Elise's talk before dying, but that feels pointless if Xander keeps on fighting like a kamikaze. Lords are usually pretty idealistic but most of the times they will get crushed by some truths about reality sooner or later: Corrin had less problems to deal with than Ephraim or Ike, that's saying something. I guess in the end it felt pointless for how much of a Mary Sue she is.

Corrin's journey had no troubles, and only Garon's hijinks are there to stop her. Everything has been given to her on a silver plate and those who question it are evil or jealous. This character has no real growth, resolution or a proper opposition, a proper challange, a proper doubt. Everything works for her and everything is peachy keen. For some fucking reasons she even commends the Hoshidan army instead of Ryoma. But why? It's just plain retarded, uncompelling, dull and uninteresting, no growth from the beginning to the end.

Good choice, anon. I like her support with Niles and Belka a lot as well.

You can Friendship Seal her with Belka and go Zerker for a while to grab Rally Str and Axefaire. Most people recommend going WL for the better caps and pure Str damage but if your Camilla has good Mag level ups, Bolt Axe is an awesome weapon. WL has better caps and is overall better if your Camilla doesn't get good Mag level ups.

She can also go Dark Knight just to grab Lifetaker or Sorc to grab Vengeance (though it has been nerfed in this game) if you want but she'll probably struggle a bit in that class if she has little Mag. Bowbreaker in my opinion, isn't that necessary since you don't ever want her or any flier in the range of bow users in the first place, plus Fates and its RNG fuckery when it comes to hitrates connecting.

Next, let's consider who to use as the lure. You don't want it to be Camilla, because Takumi has effective damage against her.
