I've been playing since the original game released and only JUST realized how effective Ecliptic Slash is for staggering the shit out of dragons. I cleared the fight in half the time it took last time, no casualties. How did I never realize this?

Also, she seems to be making pretty good use of the bow. I at least haven't noticed any tard behavior or anything.

It's pretty tough at first but it becomes doable once you know all the tricks. When a dragon flies, jumping light attacks can hit the tip of their tails and a single hit to it usually has enough impact to knock them down. That alone solves half the problem since you're lacking ranged attacks.

1v1 strategy:
>fight Dragon normally until it gets knocked down
>immediately charge Arc when the falling animation starts
>as soon as Dragon stands up, your Arc will be fully charged if you synched the animation and charge time properly
>Dragon is knocked over by the Arc
>immediately begin charging another Arc and repeat until Dragon is dead

Multiple dragons is a lot harder. Basically you want to use your non-Arc attacks to knock one dragon down, then rush the second one and knock it down next. If you're fast enough, the first dragon will be getting up as the second one falls down, so you then go back to him and knock him back down and just keep alternating to keep them both stunlocked as much as possible. You need pawns (Sorcs work best for me) to actually deal the damage in this scenario but it's a workable strategy, especially now that I realized how effective Ecliptic Slash is for it. It has such huge range that you can normally inflict some stagger on both dragons at once if they're both in melee range.

Exodus Slash is mandatory (especially Exodus cancelling) though. You can't survive dragons (or any high level enemies really) without its i-frames.

She's been pretty good so far. Haven't had to revive her very often either. Uses the bow quite a bit too. I'm about to fight Daimon, so we'll see how she does there.

Just had one of my easiest Daimon runs with Catalina. We managed to stunlock his second form to death after his first vortex. He didn't even get to go into his huddled up glowing animation with how bad he was stunlocked. Catalina is confirmed for based.

Also, messed with her outfit a little. I always liked the corsets more than the whatchacallit piece. Also scarfs > capes.

Gonna send her back in a sec, I'm done for the night.

I remember us talking about it briefly during one of the streams but it still doesn't make much sense.The duke has his reasons, but what does the Faith really have to lose? Gorechimeras suck ass, that healing goathead is just the biggest prick ever with those heals. Makes me regret not bringing something i can use to silence that piece of shit, because my sole source of physical damage (ie, my main pawn) is refusing to be helpful in any way during this fight.

Sometimes parts of the game confuse me. Like how aggro works, for instance, since it's obviously around in some form.

Might be my lack of experience, but the magic targeting system feels really awkward to use. That said, it's still one of the more fun games I've played a caster in.

The ones like Ingle or Frigor, especially when the opponent is moving cus the target kind of jumps around which is a problem when you need to hit a particular spot. The core skills are even more irritating, since I can't see what I'm locked onto before firing. It's still useable, just a bit frustrating at times. I haven't used all the spells, perhaps I should try out the others a bit more.

Game should no longer have intermittent controller device detection issues when multiple devices are plugged in. This should address some of the stutter and input issues reported by users including spell/charge attacks not releasing, character ceasing to run etc.
Lantern binding issue - When full lantern becomes half-full, it will still be bound to the hotkey. (previously "half full" and "empty" were treated as separate inventory items)
Cursed King's Belt - equipping this item on a male character will no longer crash the game
Adjusted audio levels – addressed the ‘audio too low’ issue some users encountered
VSync set to OFF by default
DirectInput controller adjustments:
Deadzone for each pad is now stored and configurable via config.ini
DualShock 4 on PC will now have the same deadzone sensitivity as on PS4
Other DirectInput gamepads will also have a much tighter deadzone as well (the same accuracy/sensitivity as on X360 gamepad)
Game logo in Photo Mode – removed artifact on the right edge of the logo watermark.
Refresh rate settings – the game will now properly detect the refresh rate set in config.ini
Key bindings – mapped “0” as the 'center camera' button.
End game credits crashing the game for some users – while this issue could not be reproduced, some changes have been made which should help reduce or eliminate the issue.

Making a new character, want to try out the assassin and really get into the endgame proper like. My only real concern is this talk of speccing into several vocations whilst leveling to get specific augments and, I assume, full benefit of the different stat growths.

I don't remember this class being this edgy but then again I never played it even in DDDA.

So i just installed the game and finished the tutorial.
Now on the character creation screen after i pick geneder and get sent to the name choice tab i cant input anything. Matter of fact nothing i press on the keyboard does anything, the only way to proceed to is to nuke the game from the Task Manager.

I got you senpai. Death is easy to face as a Warrior.

>get 100% sleep resist (one restless earring should cover this)
>get an Arc of Obliteration ring (alternatively just used Barbed Nails for extra knockback, I haven't actually done enough testing to see which is more effective)

You won't have the speed to stunlock him before he can teleport out, so this is mainly a delaying tactic to keep him from killing you or forcing you to run away. But you can wear him down over time this way, and even kill him if you manage to Arc him over a ledge somewhere. If you intend to kill him this way your best bet is to have ranged pawns handling the DPS while you continuously stun him and keep him out of the fight (which is generally how warrior is best played in any situation really).

No idea what to tell you for Fighter though.

Spamming Ecliptic Slash might also work then but I haven't tested it on him. That move has some insane staggering power. As long as you can find a routine that works for you and synch it to his sleep and scythe swing animation times then you can easily cheese him.

Maybe? I don't know, I stopped playing artificial difficulty mode on my warrior account, it's just not fun. I can do it with any other vocation but the endgame "balancing" doesn't take Warrior into consideration at all so I don't even bother.

I doubt Death gets a huge enough stagger resist bonus in hard mode that he can tank Arcs though, especially not an Obliteration.

I'm a scrub. I cheat in most of my games. I'm about to play Dragon's Dogma again after a break scrubing up other games. I have a level 11 wizard with cheated in money ( I didn't do anything to my pawn because cheating in multiplayer is a step too far for me).

I'm going to start over. I don't want to be a scrub anymore. I'm thinking of playing the game in hard mode (I'm not very good in the game), should I? I heard before that if you want git gud as possible as quickly as possible you only play on the highest difficulty settings. But in Dynasty Warriors it has RPG elements and it is impossible to play on the highest difficulty without a leveled up character.
