The key to balancing a race is to give it upsides and downsides alike. Diona can take brute punishment, but a welding tool fucks them up. Golems are immune to burn damage and take normal brute damage and have no blood, but they can't wear exosuits or fire guns of any kind.

"Needs a suit to not die" isn't a huge downside compared to halved burn damage, normal brute damage, and no bleeding. Especially since only an antag can strip their suit off due to the aforementioned "need it to live" thing. The only situation in which a plasmaman is going to lose his suit is during a run-in with an antag (which he would be unlikely to survive even as a human) or his own stupidity.
