I'd like to think so. But we've only done one hour so far, and there haven't been many /npg/s or /vpg/s recently.

I'm hoping that with some bumping we can survive to when most people are awake, and actually get a surviving userbase, since it's 4:15 EST; Dead hours for most, AFAIK.

I plan to post comics, fanart, etc, to contribute, but I'd like anyone else who has relevant stuff to the thread to post. Activity is good, and much-needed right now.

You can get cupcakes for checking a pet's lookup on its birthday, if you own it, yes.

However, you can't check the birthdays of pets nobody owns, unless you use something outside of the site. I wouldn't know what.

There's also a mandatory captcha when viewing pet lookups now.

Apparently, bots and programs refreshing way more than is normal, which was causing lag, loading issues/glitches, while the bots/programs collected information about accounts both active, and inactive, was the reason.

One such loading issue?

"(closet/inventory items disappearing, including pb clothes, neomail not working, not being able to post beauty contest previews saying it's spam, etc,) ", to quote a Neopian Times question.
I was there, and the items returned after some time, but it was not a pleasant wait.


According to TNT, regarding the Captcha:

She "has protected Neopets from cosmic danger for as long as anyone can remember. " and has both the power of telepathy, and the ability to feel pain when Neopets are in harm's way, you'd think she'd a bit more considerate.

Considering how fast /vg/ moves I think we'd be better off moving to /trash/ anyway since it wouldn't mean having to bump every hour and we'd probably get more new people poking their heads in to join.

Also, the people who want to post porn can do so but I'm mainly thinking from the perspective of being able to actually keep a thread alive.

It certainly would give us more bumping options, and we might not die as quickly.
I wonder if those who might be interested would have an easier or harder time finding us there, or if some might be deterred by being on a NSFW board.

I wouldn't call it slow in of itself compared to other boards I browse like /an/ or /cgl/ where threads last for a week or more and are the kings of slow, but it's considerably slower than /vg/ where a thread gets bumped off if nobody posts in it every 60-90 minutes

I'll stop bumping the thread when it hits page 10 and I'll make a /npg/ on /trash/ when we inevitably get bumped off

or someone else can if you beat me to it
