Don't get fooled into believing that these are legitimate skills, as actual skilled long time pro fps players have nowhere near this kind of aim, and it has never been seen before. I play solo for now, might try to get my friends into it. It's fun when the match making doesn't pair you with retards, which seems to happen I would say every 1 out of 4-5 games. This is basically what you would expect from pubs though.

every time I've watched seagull's stream it's him running around the backlines with his mercy friend destroying the enemy team in a series of unconnected 2v1s where he does 50% bonus damage and can't die

Don't hover in the air unless you have a clear reason for it, it exposes you too much to damage.

Use your concussion missile as an emergency exit to escape from threats when your boost is unavailable, such as a Mei's Blizzard, as well as to clear points/throw fools off ledges.

Don't rely on splash damage, aim for direct hits as much as you can.

And this probably doesn't need to be said, but your most basic function is denying Torbjorn and Bastion the ability to have turrets enabled for more than a few seconds.

New Overwatch players, the following are the best carry characters if your team is doing poorly:

-Hanzo- If you can get headshots quickly you can kill every character in the game at any range. Scatter shot can one hit a lot of characters like Tracer who can be difficult to kill for other characters. I can't stress how important his sonic arrows are, either, in assisting your teammates. Even if you can't hit anybody, just picking this guy and lighting up your enemies is going to help your team a lot.

-D.Va- excellent at harassing enemies backlines and being a valuable damage dealer who can pursue wounded enemies on the frontline. Always pick her if your team doesn't have a tank

-Genji- viable at any range because his left click is extremely deadly at long range and his right click V shift combo is lethal up close. His deflect is a powerful tool in duels and in overcoming defensive fortifications, and he has the best ult in the game. Even if you die more than you get eliminations Genji is such an overwhelming distraction that you are almost always helping your team when you play him.

I survive encounter long enough that if I did the damage I'm supposed to be doing I should win, but nothing seems to hit, not the dash, not the melee, only a single RMB shuriken most of the time, and I just end up losing.

Is there some trick to it, I can do decent with all the gun based characters but Genji I just can't figure it out, and I'd really like to get better at this character

Each shuriken does 28 dmg, 84 assuming they all hit, melee attacks do 30, swift strike does 50. This totals to 164 dmg if using 1 left click/right click and assuming all abilities and shurikens connect. you will need to hit the target with at least 2 rounds of shurikens to hundred to zero someone like this.

Also, remember that each block on a persons health bar is 25 hp. Use that knowledge and the dmg numbers I provided above to figure out if you can kill the target quickly.

I don't know what you were trying to prove with this video, but you showed the opposite. If seagull struggled this much to be moderately effective, when D.va was in a much better place due to having 66% more power on quick melee, D.va is fucking trash dude. If he was playing Genji the game would have ended the first time he had an ult to clear the point.

Like, fuck, this is a dude who is known for taking on whole teams with other characters, and here he has 2v1 him and mercy vs reaper and it ends with mercy dying and seagull running away. He could have done the EXACT same style of hit and run and be a tanky asshole who eats health packs with Winston only he actually would have been able to kill people solo AND he would have had a real ult.

I've found Tracer to be a good pick for Defense for the same reasons. Attackers tend to enjoy plopping a Reinhardt on the payload and RMBing their way to victory but usually don't think much further ahead than that. You can hose him to power your ult, then either stick him with a pulse bomb or get him to turn around so the rest of your team can mulch him. She's a very effective healer hunter too. Avoid Roadhogs and McCrees and you're golden.

Some Defense heroes are only under that category because they're not ones to move around a lot (Widowmaker, though only because her hook has such large cooldown period) and have a lot of traps to play defensively with (Junkrat) they can be played offensively very easily.

Some offensive heroes just plain old fit in most team compositions due to their flexibility, such as 76.

Tbh hes the only assault class I can play because I'm not good at tracking but im good at getting the reticle in roughly the right place fairly quickly. He is however amazing for harassing if you have a decent team. Teleport behind the enemy, get a few shots off and the float away.

Get up in everyone's shit. You aren't meant to hit from range. Tanks melt under your shotguns and so do squishies, so for the former just climb all over them and for the latter sneak around and get them from behind. Be sneaky with your Q or you'll be focused down easy peasy.

Those are ideal scenarios with her canons hitting EVERY PELLET at close range, which doesn't happen when you play her since people just back up and away from you or they are slender and pellets miss.
