Plus, it would defy the very spirit of FE. Every game's army is composed of unique individuals with their own personality and quirks, rather than a ton of indistinguishable generics. The funny thing is that, even without the goofy hyperbolic time chamber shit, the "by the way we're not blood-related" S-supports, and all of the other emotional cans of worms having a fully grown child during a war creates, Fates' story and world-building is still garbage.

I will admit I'm part of the problem, I enjoy waifus and playing matchmaker/eugenics with my units, but its relationship with the war narrative is almost impossible to untangle without serious asspull. They're trying to mix war stories with medieval slice-of-life and it doesn't work very well. I think it could be successful if the MyCastle slice-of-life bits were more tongue-in-cheek.
