Another thing. And I realize this is the maximum amount of reaching but the Ghru dagger and sword SLIGHTLY resemble the silhouette of Carthus weapons SOMEWHAT.

I agree though on the ghru-chaos flame part.

We specifically find them infesting the ruins/trenches of the demon king/carthus/anor londo war, it seems that the ghru learned of the chaos pyromancies and settled in the ruins, perhaps they were on the same side as the demons, the black knights in the demon ruins are doing one of two things:

1. Killing ghru in that one room surrounded by demon corpses
2. Guarding a bridge up to the ballista/carthus/giants.

I think that the war ground, smouldering lake was an initiative by anor londo to drive out the demons that infested the area below it, as smouldering lake is basically directly below irithyll.

They had help from carthus doing this, and that's why they all appear one the same side near the ballista.

I think that lorian was directly involved in this by killing the demon prince, and then time passed and they won, which is why you find the demon king defeated as you enter.

Profaned is tied with the best Astora's for best UGS in the game, MLGS is easily top ten, DSSS is viable as is Gundyr's Halberd.

Am I the only one that hopes the next generation of consoles will have some sort of third trigger, like the paddles on the xbox elite controller?

I say this purely because after what.. 5 games and the addition of charged r2 attacks which took away how well attacks flowed in previous games.... I really think a third kind of attack would be really fucking good. Which hopefully explains why I talked about next gen consoles and xbox controllers. For whatever reason, Lorian was unsuitable for this, it might be a result of his "corruption" from the demon princes flame, so they tried to produce another heir, Lothric.

Despite presumably trying various methods, and treating and celebrating his birth, making items, treasures and weapons around him, he came out sickly and decrepit.

Yet he was still the heir to link the flame, and was expected to do so, various sources tried to mentor him, emma treated him as the next lord, the first scholar of the archives however, influenced enough to simply let the world carry on in it's fading way.

At some point, lothric and lorian combined their souls, perhaps it was done to save lothric, who knows.

Oceiros meanwhile, in what was probably a disappointed state after lothric's birth, started to research seath's work in the grand archives, presumably learning of the way of the dragons and the other ways to seek power/gain immortality.

Through this he probably researched into the drakeblood knights and archdragon peak, the presence of the sunlight covenant and the dragonslayer armour/ornsteins involvement with lothric, there was also an establishment here to support with the knowledge and familiarity of the dragons.

Either way, eventually Oceiros probably became corrupted by his demented dragon research, which resulted in his current horrific form, which seems like some sort of advanced stage of the dragon stones.

Through his obsession with creating an heir, he utilised the research into having another child with the queen, in what probably involved some dragon fuckery, which resulted in the unseen but implied Ocelotte.

Whether or not Ocelotte is actually in the fight is unknown, she could be an invisble hybrid, but the queen of lothric fucked off afterwards.

It does split damage with the worst moveset in a weapon class that is rendered obsolete by more specialized weapons. Ultragreats have more damage, range, and hyperarmor, smaller weapons are faster with lower stamina costs, and polearms have the same amount of hyperarmor per swing but with way more range and damage.

As it stands, there is no reason to use greatswords except for style, doubly so for the worst of the litter.
