In the latest volume, Aigis goes through immense emotional stress over her feelings for Minato and ultimately cannot confess to him. Minato remained completely unaware. At the end of the volume. I simultaneously wish I'd started with P4G and P3.

It was a hard slough re-learning older mechanics for P3 after having played P4 (hitting downed enemies removing down status instead of dizzying is the weirdest part) which robbed me of the ability to judge it based on merit without comparison. Writing wise P3 deals with much more solid and deeper issues than P4 and the plot is much more important and weighty, but the treatment of characters and the amount of unnecessary-side content (like the entirety of strega) hold the story back and confuse it somewhat. Not to mention the pacing is notably lacking in later half. I'd love to see a Post-P4 remake of P3 that isn't P3P.

On the other hand though, jumping into P4G with all that additional content on the first playthrough would have been super neato and having fusion search and controlled skill inheritance in fusion would have saved at least a dozen hours out of my first playthrough.

I'm playing P4G right now and I've been picking up every social link I can and trying to spend time with everyone. It was fine at first, but it's getting a bit overwhelming, I think I've got 10 right now, not even half of the number in the game. I think I got about 10 in Persona 3 as well before I stopped myself.

So what are some of the more interesting social links in P4G? I'll do Marie's for sure just because it unlocks an extra dungeon and ending, and all of my party member's and Rise's because I like their's so far and because battle bonuses.

One of the localizers was on an episode of Retronauts right before P4 came out, and he mentioned how important honourifics were, since its a significant part of Jap culture that cant be translated to english, and how it was important that Jap teens in a school setting reflect that, but then the game is just a horrible mish mash of them anyway.

Teddie's fine, I think. Kuma wouldn't mean anything to most of the target audience and "Bear" would be terrible. Don't know about Risette. Since they stuck with honorifics, they should have just left it unchanged. I guess they changed it because "chi" as an honorific isn't as well known as some of the others? I know I didn't know it before I played Persona 3, and I've been studying Japanese for a few years. But then, a guide on honorifics was included in the games I hear, so...
