for rockets just prox/tracking and as much velocity and blast radius as possible. Doctrine of Passing is probably the over all best auto despite having the least impact (damage) and range. There's not enough new players coming in for any raid group to either be everyone pulling their weight or a carry. It shouldn't take more than one or two runs for you to get 80% of the raid. Learning the other 20% is just slowly taking all the roles or learning stuff like where certain enemies spawn that you didn't notice before.

I just got TTK yesterday after not having played Destiny since last summer. What do I need to do to catch up? I leveled my warlock up to 40 last night and have been playing some crucible but haven't messed around with quests, items, factions, or anything like that. I don't really know where to start and while I'm sure that I could work it out over time, it would be cool to get some pointers rather than relying on trial and error. I'm sure I would overlook something. I didn't even know to join a faction in year 1 until I was close to 30.

Came back to 7 sterling treasures and got a Waning Star & Space-Age Mariner. Assuming these are not rare at all?

Titans and Hunters are good for rift.
Both are speedy classes. Titan has higher max speed but hunter has higher mobility. Mobility for both can get increased further via Twilight Garrison and Shadestep, which can make you really swift and hard to chase in rift. Titans, Strikers in particular, also come with very high shields which can give you an edge in a chase.
