What do I edit in an RSF to change the Minor number?
The one in this pastebin http://pastebin.com/HGyXZfZQ has US Sm4sh 1.1.6 at 32.22.0 when the actual update is 32.28.0. This is causing an update nag after I install a custom update.

okay so i'm currently at the part in Pailect's guide where you just open OTPHelper and then do the one click setup, and i'm completely done with it, but i didn't set up wifi on the 2nd rednand wipe (in section 1). am i fucked? i already downgraded rednand to 2.1 so it'll be a black screen no matter what, but wifi is set up on sysnand.
tldr i don't have wifi enabled on rednand but i do on sysnand, and just got done with the OTPhelper setup and wanted to check if it even matters if i didn't have it set up on rednand before the 2.1 downgrade

What are the best emulators right now on an N3DS? I have some of the Retroarch suite installed right now for GBA and GBC, but I wanted to know if there are better choices out there. (I still haven't picked a SNES or a NES emulator.)

My DSTwo's SD slot might be borked beyond my expertise. Any sense to replacing it with a DSTwo Plus? I have emunand back from when the N3DS didn't support firmware above 9.5 so I'm kinda behind.
The guides talk about rednand, a9lh and other new advancements since then but I'm a bit confused.
I'm mainly wondering, can I keep the emunand I have or do I have to do everything over and create rednand in order to follow the main guide in the sticky? This one: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki
The sticky says the terms are interchangeable but I'm seeing some differences in the guide from how I created my emunand.

Any advice? If this is an issue, is there a guide that covers converting emunand to rednand?

Can anyone help me out on this? So every game i've downloaded has worked. I've been trying to play majora's mask, but i've gone thru many .cia installations and none of them seem to work for me. The game boots, loads for a second and then promptly enters the 3ds menu with an error. I'm using a japanese N3DS with luma. I have Kirby triple deluxe, mario, zelda oot, luigi, and etc and all work fine.

I have dual Sharp displays. Kind of sucks but I love my Ambassador Edition N3DS all the same. (Which is pretty much just a white N3DS with special plates)

I'm half tempted to do the PSP analogue mod where you take out the nub and switch in a PSP-1000 stick.

Now, I'm trying to get Decrypt9WIP to cooperate with me to decrypt a legit CIA file so I can unpack it and edit.

As far as I'm aware, because I am able to run Luma on the latest firmware without a hitch -- I can't actually get Decrypt9WIP to work as - is. ( But because I try to be optimistic, I threw it in the /3ds folder anyway, and it gives me red - black - red - homebrew screen. )

So, all of you who are much better at the hacking scene than I, what the fucky do I do to get this working?

Or, should I just go look for a decrypted file from someone else?

What I meant was that each NAND has its very own partition of the SD card, not being able to access the other NANDs' partition.
For example, I'd have a 32GB SD card in the n3DS. Now I'd want the JAP sysNAND to have 5GB of it and the US emuNAND 10. If the rest goes to the EUR it'd be 17GB as opposed to every NAND having access to the whole SD card.

I got Emunand and RxTools on my 3ds when the 9.2 exploit came out and haven't really updated anything but the Emunands firmware to play more recent games.

Well, at least you're not an ass about it. The process is pretty much brickproof if you follow instructions correctly. If you format your system at the end of getting A9LH for your O3DS it might fix your eshop troubles.

You didn't hear it from me, but there is a possible method in the future for getting A9LH on N3DS without having to downgrade to 2.1. It's still in dev though, so if you're not impatient you could just downgrade to 9.2 if you haven't already and sit there for a bit.

You're actually so far back that you have a chance to use IOSU exploits that have been patched since 5.2. There's no public implementation of those and we know that 5.5.1 exploits also exist though. I doubt there's much devs that have a console below 5.2 so that's most likely a dead end.

I think you're best off updating, especially if you want to play more recent games (some of which definitely require being on 5.x at the very least). If you happen to have a game disc that requires 5.3.2, use that, otherwise just go to 5.5.1 I guess.
