The Backyard is more like Admin access of the universe. The "Real World" is a reflection of it. Basically, think like the Gnostics and how the Demiurge got pissed at the actual creator and made the world we live in. That's the whole deal with the Universal Will.

The Universal Will/Ariel, thinks of us as nothing more then dolls that it can play with for it's own amusement.

Youkai are beings that the actual creator made. Gears are humanities attempt to artificially create Youkai using the same things that make them up. The Flame and the Scales.

Sol is the Flame of Corruption. Justice is the Scales. Each of them are Adam and Eve, though who knows if they were living beings or if it's a metaphor. Anyway, the point of rezzing Justice was to try to get the Flame and the Scales into the same time at their full power, which would cause the Backyard to materialize in the Real World and cause a big reset.

I asked in the /v/ thread, but I guess I'll ask here again. I spend a lot of world dollars on fishing and I still haven't manage to hook Raven. I've done most easy and intermediate combos and I've gone through the story mode. Is there any other easy way to get W$? I think I'll just save up 200k and buy him at this point.

Ky, Dizzy, and majority of the cast is straight up weaker than him and Sol for the most part is trying to keep his Gear side and all of it's power in check with non-stop limiters and their constant updates.

Only people I can think of who can actually beat Sol is Gabriel, Sharon, and Slayer. Slayer and Sharon probably would've just fucked off, and Gabriel could win if no Gear upgrade shit happens to Sol while he's evil.

Or better yet. Just mind control Sol, let him resemble the Outrage and everybody is fucked no exceptions.

The problem is that the Universal Will isn't actually a creator. It can't create a new reality, as that is what the Backyard itself does. It can only manipulate the Backyard into resetting things, so it can influence how the world is made in the next cycle.

Sol was turned into a living monster against his will you faggot. Sol didn't get a choice in throwing his humanity away, That Man also caused the world to get fucked over by Gears, and then lead Sol down the path of him having to kill his waifu and deal with the bullshit of Ky.

Because Asuka never explained any of this shit to him. He never told him about the shit that he had seen in the Backyard, the Universal Will, or about how he was going to try to save Aria's life and the only way that she would undergo the process was if Fredrick was there to see her awake.

So while he's a great guy who did what he thought was right, he's also an ass for not just telling his best friend any of this shit.

It's a shame so much of his plan backfired though. He created the concept of the Commander Gear since the Military caught on to his making Gears and wanted them as a weapon. The Command Gear would just tell them not to fight and the Military couldn't do shit.

But because Aria was sick, she didn't survive the gear transformation mentally. Her body made the transition and so Justice was born. Because of this, she barely had a will of her own, though she followed Asuka's orders.

Then the Universal Will appears over Japan and Asuka orders Justice to fire Gamma Ray at it. It's a direct hit and Japan gets nuked. Justice goes insane and orders the War.

A whole shit show all around and no matter which way you look at it, Sol's life was made miserable by Asuka, even if he was trying to do the right thing. Sure in the end Sol got his waifu, he has a kick ass son in law, a hot daughter and a grandson that respects him to hell and back, but the fucking wait to get to that point was surely hell for the guy.

Justice was almost possessed by the Universal Will and because of it, went insane. She did however see what the Japanese could do and was scared of it. Basically, the Japanese had the potential to naturally become Gears through an information overload from the Backyard. It was an unstable process though and the Gears quickly self destruct, causing massive damage. So while Asuka hated having to do it, he allowed Justice to continue the slaughter as the Universal Will using the Japanese as Living Bombs was more horrible then just killing them out right.

This is also why the Japanese have started to age slower, their natural potential to transform into Gears and the increased magic of the world has given them the Gears longevity. May is 22, but looks like she's 14 because her body is aging really slowly.

He was never really that sinister. We were just getting half of the story. Heck, it wasn't long after GGXX came out that we got the Side Stories that revealed that Dizzy was indeed Justice's daughter and we found out that I-no changed the past so the world didn't go to shit and learned that That Man was actually a prisoner of the Gears and wasn't this Mastermind world dominating asshole.

Even GGXX had him as more just mysterious and actually cared about various people that came to see him. Though his company made him seem less benevolent then he's later made out to be. Raven and I-no aren't exactly the most welcoming of people.
