Doomhammer is fine for an epic weapon. It's probably the best in the game, yeah, but it's not by itself THAT much better than either Gorehowl or Gladiator's Longbow, both of which can represent equal or greater value to it.

This is exactly why I am making this deck.
First off because it's a face deck I like.
I'm not interested in face shaman or face hunter, they play very differently, and Zoo is not a face deck.
Secondly, I thought of old decks that I liked to resurrect in the current standard format and remembered backspace rogue, which I loved.
I had to cut shadowsteps because they just were not as good with the leeroy nerf.

I made this more of a challenge for myself, not as "I need an effective deck for x" since I'm currently very bored with the game and don't really have anything left to achieve.

If you want solid advice, look up any zoo list (because that's basically what your deck is right now) and replace your bad cards with the good cards they run. Like dire wolf could be a good fit.

Those are very legitimate concerns however they are not very often in hand come turn 3, as well as wasting your turn on removing only one minion in such an early turn could be weak.

I've had good results with him over the games I have played and think he is good, however if you bring up any ideas I'd be glad to discuss them with you.

I do play zoo, it's my most played deck by far.

I took the original backbone of the deck by the deck it was inspired by, which was backspace rogue.
Unfortunately due to the nerfs to leeroy among other things I cannot craft the same deck.
Some advice from a poster above said I should make it a bit slower more focused board control, which I agree with.

I've gotten pretty lucky with draws against aggro most of the time. The deck has a lot of draw if you mulligan properly. I was playing Renolock, so naturally, I am weak to burn-centric classes such as Mage and Rogue, since I can't even just Jaraxxus them safely. Especially when they run a brew, I can't be sure what they are playing and what they aren't playing.

Extremely unlikely, especially this late. Just because you cannot imaging playing something that isn't a pure netdeck doesn't mean it isn't possible to do well regardless of what you think of it.

Aggro, Tempo, Midrange and Control decks all have the benefit of being fairly one dimensional. Each one may have a plethora of options depending on the stage of the game (i.e. aggro has many options in the first five turns, but almost none past turn 8; control is functionally the reverse of this). A combo deck is therefore jarring at first because you have many options all the time. That's why it's so difficult to focus in on the correct play - there are far more choices per turn and there is no given rule on how a particular turn should look. How should you know what to do if nearly everything is wrong?
