Chest will be Kaoms so life will not be a problem

I tried the return projectiles with a shit 80 dps wand in dried lake so I could see effects without blowing shit up, and it didn't work out like I hoped. KB return on its own just kind of bounces behind you and hits the wall behind your character, doing nothing. Only way this could be useful would be some weird ass point blank stuff where you run in and get surrounded, still not too good

With pierce was a bit weird, but with the node itself it might be better. With %50 flat pierce, shots would either just bounce back straight away or go straight through. With the node in the next patch though, the pierce chance scales so what could happen would be high pierce chance, then bouncing back through the pack because I think the pierce chance based on distance will reset when it returns, so it MIGHT work, still probably better to just grab %100 pierce. Not a bad two pointer though if you wanted to replace pierce in your build, but with pierce as a more damage multi there's not much use for this. If pierce gets nerfed, this might be a decent build, because if it runs out of pierce chance, you get the +1 chain before it comes back if the pack is even still alive

Also barrage+chain+return is makes S shapes as it bounces from enemies then back to you. Not good, just neat looking.

There is nothing remotely comparable to Enigma in PoE, despite the fact that any class can use any gem in the latter, and thus giving a class-specific skill in D2 to another is more problematic. D2's teleport was better than any movement skill in D2 because it was the *only* movement skill, on top of ignoring walls. Barbarian's Leap (Attack) hardly counts.

Other classes had to rely on movement speed. Assassin's BoS would be replaced by a simple quicksilver flask in PoE, and that is still very much viable. Unless you stacks tons of attack speed, you're not going to beat someone with 120 ms even in a linear course.

And the same thing happens in PoE, because WB is not the only mean of transport, and it's limited to dagger/claw/1-h sword builds.
Would that restriction be lifted, it'd be closer to D2's Teleport and would "ruin" the game, sure. But currently it doesn't, because if you're sacrificing or gimping your build just to make use of a dagger, that's the penalty in itself. And you still can't jump cliffs, idiot.

How could they be comparable when skills are not tied to classes in PoE? Everyone can use Leap Slam, or WB, or LW, or Flame Dash, or Blink Arrow. It uses Oro's Flicker and Berserker

Since you have to travel far from Marauder to Vaal Pact, I decided to figure out what the most efficient build is going to be, and Grand Spectrum came into my mind,

Damage: Oro's Flicker's damage has always been superb, we get 720% elemental damage just from the Jewels itself

I'll be using 8 (720%) of the 12 jewels on Elemental damage, considering how Oro's melted everything with 160% multiplier fireborn, I'm pretty confident this can melt even fire resistant mobs lategame.

I also have 128% total attack speed on my ascendancy+talent+frenzy

Defense

This build will be utilizing Oro's 2h and use Kaom's Heart. This gets me at level 85 with about 800 hp on my gear (at least) which comes to 3800 life.

I will have 8600 armor from the jewels + kaom, and if I get any other armor jewels I'd get more tankier.

Because of carnage jewel, I would be able to leech back any type of damage I take unless it 1shots me

I run 5 Endurance charges and because Bersekres have a half cooldown passive for warcries, I should be getting really tanky.

The core items will be Oros and Doedres to proc the Savage Hit, I picked Flicker since Flicker has the highest kill speed, which allows me to charge my doedres faster, and doedres allow me to get power charges which gets me Ele Overload.

I don't see anything in your build you couldn't achieve better by being a Slayer, +40% aoe and Impact replacing the horrible Melee Splash means you gain at the very least 30% more damage (melee splash penalty) + another support, and the leech is certainly better than an unreliable VP leech after savage hit

What's a good substitute for single target when using IB? Just switch inc AoE with conc? Does IB even benefit from the conc?

From my experience of leveling a flicker oro to 95 in HC last season, the only monsters that forced me to leave the map and reset were Ele reflect and Porcupines, the 100% leech will enable you to leech right through that which is a huge bonus

What do you guys think of my life regen ED Scion build concept for 2.3?:

Stacking ehp is not mitigating. It's just dumb stacking. A 9k life EA character is not going to be more resilient to phys damage than a 7k 30k armour 7 endurance charges character.
