I keep forgetting each max type is +500 rather than 1000. You're right that we also get increases from achievement awards. This image shows my 1st girl to the left is almost done with getting all the types she can. She's working on Intelligent and once I got my final 60 achievements award I'll probably be able to fit one more type after. The right side has my 4th girl with a +2500 increase even though I haven't chatted any types to max yet. Not sure why it's not just +1500 since I've unlocked only 57 achievements, maybe another 1000 was awarded for consecutive logins or having max girls. Unless you don't see yourself playing for a long time it's probably best to save bentos for a double chat campaign.

Other DG stuff: here's some event ranking trends. It's no wonder I failed at Fairy Tale midway. Assuming the usual trend for midways are about 6 million and finals are 16.6 million as shown with Spring and Travel event, they put in more than usual for Fairy Tale midway then went back to normal for the final. About the stroking function, seems like it's like talks in that you have choices on where to stroke them and depending on your choices affection will increase or decrease. My roids are still studying so I can't check it out yet.

About the meal times, there're three changes:

So I had the chance to try out stroking.
You get a full image of your myroid (as opposed to the half images used elsewhere) and can click on certain parts to stroke that part. The image is divided into three columns with only the middle one used. From there, there are uneven vertical divisions separating the image into head, face, upper body, lower body, and legs. I'll make a chart in a bit. This probably won't work well with sitting costumes but I doubt they've made exceptions for those simply because >effort.
Anyway, you get 10 chances to stroke each myroid, and they're separate from talk chances or anything else. I really don't know what's up with the favorability either, it seems like positive gains are red and negative are blue this time, which is opposite everything else. I could just be misreading it. It also sounds like it's talking about a change in the rate of how good they're feeling, so a decrease could still end in a net positive. That's all speculation from wording, too.
Finally, they also respond differently to where you touch them. Screenshot's from when I poked my Returnee's breasts. I sincerely hope they don't ruin returnee when they bring her over.

Also, I guess I didn't mention but meals are a lot like talking in terms of looks. With the new changes to meals, it's even closer as having a meal with all your myroids looks like what happens when you hav ethem talk with each other. I only have 2 though, so I don't know what eating with 3+ is like.
