I guess I played enough of the game during the beta that it just isn't fun anymore.
I don't enjoy playing any of the characters and I don't really have any friends to play with, + the fact there is no ranked, or any new content for that matter, made me feel buyers remorse in less than 5 hours after having bought it.


I do love me some MTG though, so I might as well get into Hearthstone, since my 40€ are already spent.

I also thought about buying Legacy of the Void, but that would mostly be for just the campaign, so I don't know if that is worth it.

Control decks are good right now, they have been better in the past but they are still tournament and ladder capable. N'zoth Priest, classic Control Priest, N'zoth Paladin, Freeze Mage, C'thun Warrior, Fatigue Warrior, and even some oddballs like Control Shaman and Reno Rogue are popping up and seeing some play. These decks are expensive for a new player, though, so unless you invest cash into the game then don't plan on playing with them for a while.

Here are my two decks that I have right now, these are most of the cards that I own.

I'd imagine spending 40€ on both the adventures + some packs would help enough, the rest could propably be done by grinding.

What I really wanted to know though is wether or not the two adventures are worth buying into for the cards that I recieve if I want to play control decks.

From watching, I really enjoy the Reno Warlock and deck and the Priest control deck, Warrior is ok too, but I don't have most of the cards for that.

Yes, absolutely. They contain vital cards that see play in every deck archetype. Blackrock Mountain you really only *need* the 1st wing because it has Thaurissan, but the rest of it is nice to have so you can build dragon decks which are relatively cheap and effective. I recommend you buy both current adventures at least, and another 20-40 Classic packs depending on how much disposable income you have. This will give you a really good base to construct semi-competitive decks that can grind the ladder.

Pic related is probably the cheapest control deck I've ever seen, StrifeCro played it at Top 100 legend and I've played it a bit and it works well. The most expensive part is Harrison but he can probably be switched out for an Ooze, you lose the draw but it's a good budget choice. Sylvanas would also be a good replacement if you have her. I would also take out one Cabal and put in a second Alchemist, but that's just my preference.

It's almost a shame that there is only one Firebat. He is the only great commentator in Hearthstone.

Sea Giant -> no replacement really, but if you want something that works in a similar way, try Frostlord Warlord
Often times, you don't need a straight-up replacement, just another card that works well with zoo. Though obviously you'd want some burst damage if you're not running Leeroy and Gormok. Soulfire is a decent burst damage, but I wouldn't recommend running both Soulfire and Doomguard.

The worst scenario is he wastes coin to ping it and then can follow-up with is own 2- and 3-drop to match yours, which is not bad. But keeping it isn't wrong either.

I would often keep pit snake or buccaneer as rogue in this situation, but mostly because of potential combo activation for Defias or SI:7.

Buccaneer gives you +1 to weapon damage immediately which is nice, pit snake is a ping taunt which increases in value with enemy minion value. If a minion kills hero then the divine shield is pinged off.

Always. Tempo is king in arena. Mage using hero power early is a bad turn, you should get them to do so. With that dude you forbid them from playing a 2 health minion since it gets your next dude a free divine shield, even a 3 toughness minion will be countered by a silver hand recruit. Them "matching" your next dude does not matter since you'll have the initiative for the next minion/play. You will get punished by strong hands but shit happens. Also stop playing fucking paladin
