True, the setting is interesting, which only makes it more annoying that there is next to no world building going on.
Maybe I was spoiled by Tolkien early on, and this shit was meant for kids anyway of course, but I remain disappointed there's not enough world building.
Which I can only hope some fanfics correct. Team 8 does a fair bit of that, but still not quite enough, though that might change in coming chapters. Some of the other fics I read had interesting details about the world, but it is the nature of the medium that too often it was just flavour stuff inserted to please people like me, nothing that really connected to the story proper.
