If I reclass Corrin into his secondary class, what item do I need to reclass him back into nohrian prince? I wanted him to pick up the skills from his secondary basic class (samurai) in his teens because there's a level cap in fates.

FE6 is OBJECTIVELY the best fire emblem game because it's the most of a strategy game. The reason it's such can be boiled down to

FE6 maps are full of, for a lack of a better term, dick moves that make getting 100% a real challenge. It's a game that doesn't feel like it owes you anything which makes accomplishing it feel way better.

This is true in every FE game, the difference is that in 6 every class has some mediocre units but also a good one while in other FE games that's not always the case.

for example in FE7 canas kinda fucking sucks but most players use him anyway just because he's literally the only character that can use dark magic and dark magic kicks ass. meanwhile in FE6 there's like three dark magic users. Beyond the perks of having replacements if your one character of type X randomly dies and simple variety being able to field a large group of class A is a really cool thing that most other FE games don't have unless they have a job system

The first time you play a map, and then its predictable. And you're not even allowed to deal with the fire lit under your ass until the wyvern finish moving on the turn they spawn. In actuality, FE6 is an awful strategy game because it encourages turtling and similar degenerate behaviors to make sure you don't get ambushed by same turn reinforcements.

+Str and +Spd boons are the best in general aside from magic users of course. For Swordmaster I'd definitely go +str since they need the help there, while a Spear Fighter can go either way as they are balanced in those areas. Well Pieri doesn't crit as well as Zerker!Charlotte (I've seen numbers as high as about 60% or 80% with the Killer Axe or Great Club) but she is the squishier but faster type that hits like a tank and has shakier hitrates.

I just don't really like Charlotte as a unit. She's faster and stronger, I'll give her that. But her personal is worthless except against a couple of bosses. And if she doesn't crit, she has an Arthur chance to die. I was getting crit rates around 60-70%, that's not bad. But they were accompanied by 60-70% hit rates. And enemies with 5-15% hit rates. Every battle is a gamble with her, any hit could kill her. Peri has more movement, doesn't blow up to everything in the universe, comes earlier, I just like her way more as an offensive monster unit. If there's one thing I'll give Charlotte, her pair up boosts are insane.

Charlotte is a pretty situational combat unit, I agree. She joins later than Arthur but her Lck isn't as abysmal (he joins with 1 Lck for fuck's sake). Arthur's personal is pretty risky while her is more situational. I just remove Gamble from her and give her a forged Bronze Axe if she has trouble hitting. Definitely a Frying Pan too once someone drop one for me.

In battles where she isn't very combat viable she can at least be a backpack for Xander. I do love how often she crits though, but of course that relies on RNG also.

I too prefer Pieri as she has turned out to be a faux-Xander who can actually take/dodge magic hits reliably instead of praying for luck. I only gave her 1 Seraph Robe and she has become one of my best units so far >>143535813. With a forged Steel Lance she can OHKO most Ninjas in chapter 17 Hard with close to 90% hitrate.

I get rid of Gamble too. The problem is she's only fighting with Bronze because her luck is still bad enough to get crit a decent amount. I remember resetting because I actually gambled with the 10% crit rate on an enemy, which was about the average. Hinoka had 12%. Bronze would normally be fine, but it doesn't have enough power and I don't want to gamble on a lucky ally having a weapon that lets her crit and increases her dodge.

Why would you ever do this? The trick to using Charlotte is to know her limits and not to gamble too much. Charlotte should only use the Bronze Axe on someone she can double, has WTA over, and doesn't take away like half of the HP. Keep on forging Bronze Axes for her isn't too costly and will give her something with decent Mt and reliable hitrates to work with. Zerker also has -5 crit evade so don't gamble Charlotte against anyone who has a remotely decent chance of critting.

Because I wanted to actually use the bitch. When this is one of her better battle assessments, I don't have much of any incentive to just toss her out and fight things. She could only fight enemies that had absolutely no ability to crit because of their weapon choice. That doesn't really inspire confidence in me. It's called Leveling(GIMP and Photoshop) and it's pretty much the only way to lightly correct a scan without really modifying it. If you're not satisfied you can tweak around with the levels and color stuff but you really shouldn't touch it too much. Here is another try.

I tried looking up some stuff to better produce a good image by messing with the scanning settings and in post but I couldn't really get anything super great, I'll take a crack at it myself tomorrow morning. Man, sometimes pairing people up in Fire Emblem can get really irritating. These fucks don't like each other at all at C and then are stuck at the hip at S. Also, it's accepted that whatever is mentioned in support conversations did happen canonically, for example, Hana and Sakura are breast fwens, Saizo showered Kagero with a different form of "pyrotechnic", etc. So I'm supposed to believe that everyone loved Corn in the past, and Corn loved everyone in the past, and once Corn puts the moves on someone by accidentally being too close to her while she kills someone, the rest mysteriously stop loving him and vice versa for Corn?

It is easier to view Fire Emblem as Eugenics Simulator because of this though; the relationship feels so superficial that I can believe the main reason is to get stronger units.

Long story short, Fates builds on Awakening's formula and mechanics in a way that makes them way more balanced and enjoyable. There's a crazy amount of things they improved and fixed. Most importantly, map design is a lot better, especially in conquest which has some of the best in the series
