so if you grabbed you would win
but if he does an uppercut which is invincible you would get hit
so in that scenario your best option is to do a 5 frame or faster normal with reversal timing or just hold back then do a slightly delayed throw so if he does a dp you block but if he throws you, you tech it
but outside of a few specific scenarios you can almost certaintly avoid or hit ken out of his heavy tatsu before the last safe hit gets anywhere near you

Depends on what you mean by fuzzy guard, but what he's talking about is traditionally known as alternate guard (which I assume he just didn't know the English term for) in which after being put in blockstun you can alternate between stand and crouch block rapidly to extend your blockstun infinitely making it so you cannot be thrown. It added a lot of depth to the throw mixup game.
