Well the problem is they keep giving aggro more tools, when they should be creating less tools for aggro or not even create cards for aggro at all.

Shaman did not need a 4/7/7, Zoo did not need Donald Trump. They say they're slowing things down, but the tools they hand control decks are fucking mediocre in terms of dealing with anything they create for Aggro decks.

Basically, Blizzard is just shooting themselves in the foot every expansion and it's only a matter of time until they finally shoot themselves in the head and the game dies.

the only board clear they have that isnt laughably bad is a 2 card combo that leaves them with a 3/1. they also have oddly pretty poor healing options despite being the main healing class and have the weakest early and midgame out of any of the classes. Dragon priest can keep up but against everything except maybe straight face shaman its just going to be strictly worse than a cthun deck.

Priest is just in a really bad spot right now. They are only dominant against Nzoth paladin which has lost a lot of ground in the meta and true aggro decks which run out of steam and lose instantly the moment their opponent has 2 or 3 defensive cards during the first 5 turns. Their other matchups range from average to absolutely terrible.

Confirming this as an avid Priest player. Dragon Priest is pretty shitty, it's alright and it will get you to Legend if you grind it out but so will most decks. N'zoth Dragon is slightly better, but control or C'thun really is the only way to go and the latter isn't that strong, either.

-Harvest Golem used to be Spawn of N'zoth, but both don't seem to pull their own weight. Any alternative suggestions

honestly there are no decks in this game that actually require anything more than basic critical thinking skills and decision making, and when I say basic I mean something that a middle school child could easily grasp. After that it's just adding up numbers less than 10 to sums less than 30.

I see that you guys are having a discussion about anti-agroo techs, control decks and Warriors. Let me spice up this discussion a little bit with some insightful experience from a beta old legend player.

Anti Agroo, know as Control decks or Warrior decks in general, take inherently MORE thought process and have a higher skill ceiling and are much more skill intensive as well because:

-Control decks DOES NOT produce a gazillon of pluses per turn like the combo wombo aggro decks that Blizzards spergs and buff non-stop every expansion.

-As result of actually having LIMITED resources and PLAYS per turn you need a SERIOUS RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PLAN every turn and every game, that starts from the very first card you mulligan.

-In order to gain a simple +1 or even a +2, you need to severely outplay your opponent not only on the gameboard but psycologically in order to make him missplay and fall in a false sense of security.

-If you EVER fail in any of these steps your game plan ends up ruined, your field destroyed, you will lose control, tempo and inmediatly lose. Basically you need to play PERFECT EVERY GAME, no exceptions.

Finally also you have a harder deckbuilding experience since you need to consider ALL the deckbuilding paradoxes of the meta and adapt PERFECTLY, otherwise in the moment you end up versus shit like Midrange or another Control instead of pure agroo, those control cards will turn into lethal -1s, since again, you do NOT generate nearly any advantage.
If your deck gets fucked and shutdown because I did my homework and perfected my playstyle, you should try to work harder and at least TRY to counter my counters, not whine about "injustice". (see the joke with Justicar?)

Control players are the equivalent of cardgames Spartans, "play perfect, think perfect, plan perfect or DIE".

Preparations are really fucking important for any rogue.
The idea is you never need to clear the board since you're the one commanding the game with strong sticky minions. The only one who can suddenly flood the board is zoo and you have FoN for the tentacles.
Deck still needs:
Preps, Xaril, Cairne*, Skulker*
* - Optional
Once you get preps get a 2nd sprint, I find myself burning through my hand some times and prep+sprint gets me back in it.
Also consider Saps.

Rogue needs to be proactive and Nzoth spawns enough shit without shit stat/tempo minions like golems and taurens, twilight summoner isn't good either. You have one farseer to heal usually so losing tempo without your mad Prep plays usually gets you killed

if its full on friendzone warrior you can play Miracle, Nzoth Rogue, Nzoth Paladin (not favored but matchup is average), or control priest (same as paladin). Even midrange hunter appears to do well against it.

Full on control warrior is really only strong against face aggro, zoo, and freeze mage. Everything else is either average or poor; this is why tempo warrior is so much more popular at higher ranks and in tournaments. If you are below rank 5ish aggro is going to be a lot more prevalent because people are trying to climb quickly so more people will be drawn to control simply to counter them. When the actual ladder climb starts you will see a lot less of it because other variants of warrior are simply stronger decks right now

How is Control Priest favored? If the Warrior never plays any of his threats kek warriors playing minions then the Priest has nothing to Entomb and use against him. it's no worse than sitting in a chair, you have to actively focus on an upright back whether you're in a chair or on an exercise ball if you want to maintain good posture.

the difference with the ball is that remaining stable on it requires slightly bracing your core and lower back, which will ultimately strengthen those muscles to better protect your spine and improve posture in the long run.

it's also fun to bounce up and down on it.
