Yes, I love adventure games, that's why I backed it. I loved Grim Fandango, I loved the LucasArts games, I loved the Sierra games, I loved all the not-those-two games (even Telltale), point-and-clicks are one of my favorite genres. The two things they rely on are puzzles and story and both are pretty shit to me in various ways. Broken Age looks pretty but that's really it.

Not playing the game because of the fan-base is a mistake, specially Undertale's fan base, they are exactly the opposite of what the game actually is, some say the game is the best thing ever, others make it look like a huge ass meme (which kinda is at some points). Although it was a huge disappointment for me, I think you should try it out just for the sake of seeing if you'll like it or not. You should pirate it, Toby Cuck did not deliver some of the stuff he promised on Kickstarter, so there's a reason to not giving him money.
