Whenever I start a new file I make sure to beat the first arc by the end of the first Spring. Then I spend the first summer preparing for the second arc and obtaining a waifu.

For some reason, my controls won't change for the PC version of Memories of Celceta even after changing them in the config. Did anyone else have this issue? I'm trying to use a PS3 controller

Basically they took one of the darlings of SNES JRPGs and "modernized" it into a cringy ARPG where you play as Mad Max with an anime hair dye job being coached by Doc from Back to the Future. It's not really *horrible* but it does fly pretty hard in the face of the previous games (and they didn't even try updating the soundtrack which could've reedemed the game a bit if done right, they literally ripped the old SNES one and reformatted it for DS play).

I lost interest during the for-real Daos monster-form fight, since between the slowdown and his sheer sponginess it's just a boring slog.

And to be honest while RF4 has easily the best gameplay, it felt really lacking in characters. One would think that having less girls would make them more unique, but reusing swimsuits, marriage costumes and the random nature of the events and actions makes them all feel pretty generic compared to RF3's or RFF's cast. They also made a serious mistake by not making Venti marriageable, considering she has the most personality out of all characters in town.

It's most definitely on-par with a good weapon, and the ability to guarantee a critical hit that bypasses defenses on anything as long as you can stagger it puts it head and shoulders above anything.
