Ok, so I downloaded the file and tried playing... And the first thing that popped up was a Ren'Py error message. There was not even a title screen, it went directly to a full blown, un-ignorable error.
So I had to open the script to find the problematic line, and it turns out the developer tried to use the Times font without putting it in the files. So I had to download and install it myself.
And that's in the public build.
If the developer is here, take this hint: next time you release a build, make sure it at least starts up well.

When I played Morenatsu, I noticed in it the same kind of clunky phrasing that I often see in translated Japanese texts. That weirdness is somewhat inevitable when translating between two languages that have no common roots, so in Morenatsu's case I think it's forgivable.
Other English VNs still aren't good, though. Echo and Blackgate, I think, are the best and I enjoy them, but they still could have better writing.
