Found it pretty damn unattractive to look at in my playthrough. Wibble Wobble/YW2 curves this a bit by replacing the purple effects with the proper elements matching the soultimate.

There is a theory that it actually isn't Japan. YW 2 website says Inaho lives in "JAPON" and Nate is going to "U.S.A" with dots in between.
Some Japanese fans are saying those are parallel universes and that the "U.S.A" doesn't really mean "United States of America".

Wouldn't this work the same for the other languages though (French, Spanish, etc?)

I have some doubts for this, at least for the game. The localizers (Level-5, NoA) say that the Japanese setting is one of the main appeals of the franchise, so I'm not sure if the assumption holds itself 100% of the time, especially with limited to no modifications done in the game's setting.

The people hosting the anime are doing something completely different though. No questions there.

Just pre-ordered that "Faces Of Jibanyan" figure set at GameStop. According to them, it comes out on 9/15. It's $19.99.

As far as I know, no pictures of the set or anything exist right now. We just know the figures exist.

According to le Reddit, it's a 4-pack of figures: Jibanyan, Robonyan, Baddinyan, and Thornyan, each with medals. 2 of these medals are exclusive to this pack.

I had to stop grinding there. I'd rather grind to Japanese levels of power than play Maddiman AGAIN. I'm getting bored with the game because I just can't fucking get Jibanyan/Komasan A or S. I think once I finally have ONE of them and can set a new goal for myself, I'll have fun again.

I finished all of the specific tribe-only missions except for McKraken which is hard enough as it is, and Goldy has gone back to either 1-Star, Cheerful, or Rice again. Considering losing to McK gives out about the same money/exp as beating Goldy, I can't decide who to grind on.

What the fuck is left to do to get money? I'm tired of being tempted to pay.

Looks like the general idea is to use a yokai that can do direct damage (rather than pop wibwobs) during fever time, at least 2-3. Obviously the higher level the soultimate the greater the damage

Taking advice and grinding on the owls' stages in an attempt to have them GONE for when the 2nd wave of the Increased S event happens.

To be honest, this isn't the only time people have been nervous about getting stuff that aimed at a younger audience. Some people just don't have the guts (or the ability to not care) and worry about being judged, even by people they don't know.
