I play on PC but have played on console and I still react fairly fast and then I've seen pro players have fast reactions too, especially in cock of doody where it really maters (though in that game there was aim assist as in a magnet to other players).

Still, they should always have sensitivity fairly high to turn quickly and always be hearing for footsteps and shotgun blasts from behind. Well what gives.

Actually you just need to place the breach charge on the corner of the of the trapdoor, then stand on the opposite corner of said trapdoor. It's a nice a way of breaching quickly, but I wouldn't advice it often as most times people have it covered. It works when a shit ton of breaches are already happening to distract them.

Way to go Ubisoft. If you guys weren't complete retards you'd know that CSGO was getting shit ony be veteran players and nobody was willing to jump off of other CS versions until Valve added hats and trading into it, then too many players migrated onto it that most veterans had to follow.

This game can easily get a massive influx of players, but no trading means no point for people to invest time into R6S, not when most people concluded that it's just a different style of CSGO.

It used to be, but now there's potential for it. It used to be only good for operators and equipment, so grinding was easy. Now with charms and other cosmetics available, it looks more tempting to just grab the pass for operators and save renown for the cosmetics. Given that new operators are 25000 each (and both Hollywood and Cpt. Hook are really good), it makes grinding everything a lot harder.

While I agree, grinding for charms and other cosmetics is cool, I feel like I wouldn't have earned it if I just kind of have a shortcut. Unlocking an Operator for 25k renown takes a lot of work and you feel accomplished. Unlocking an IQ Chibi won't have the same feeling, not by a long shot.

And if you are paying real money to get the operator for free so you can buy that IQ charm sooner? It's just silly.

If you want to require some special accomplishment to unlock something, like camo for headshots, sure. But renown will be earned just for playing and doing nothing special. It's not "earning" anything. It could be replaced with time locks to unlock and the effect would be the same.

Especially in a game that costs $60. Grinding for content that I theoretically already paid for is nonsense. DLC characters get a pass mind you, because they were not part of the $60 fee.

The problem with basements, and especially Club basement, is that there are limited entry points and the whole thing turns into a deathmatch funnel. Thermite breaks this up by putting holes in reinforced walls, and Ash can safely open up unreinforced walls that no one can get a breaching charge on normally.

I don't mean clearing rooms. I mean purely opening up holes to provide alternative entrances. That's what breaching means.

I'd argue that Thermite with grenades was better, though. The versatility of grenades is R6S is amazing. You can blow up portions of walls (which kills people on the other side, unlike most other fps), blow up trapdoors, blow up gadgets, and of course it can kill people.

The latest patch was pretty much the 1.0 version I've been waiting for, they still have some shit to smooth out but that's that.

I don't play with anyone ever and have 400 hours logged, if you're American it's a great buy for $20.
It gets worse as you get further from where the servers are located due to less players (for PC at least).

This is like saying I shouldn't have a job, because I can just stay on welfare and eventually buy the things anyways.

The renown requires you to play, and it objectively takes twice as long (or twice as fast) if you are winning. There is a enough of a reward. Yes, grinding for an operator, or a weapon attachment in Battlefield, or for a new gun unlock or whatever, gives you a purpose and goal that is meta outside the very match. You play because it's fun, but you also continue to play because you know the game gives you access to *more* as you do so.

You are making the argument you are not compelled to grind for operators but you'll be compelled to grind and "earn" a charm for your gun.

There is a reason a vast majority of games use this principal now as a part of their game design, and even games like Counter Strike who weren't on the band wagon now have that shit. It works. People find it motivating in some way.

But yes I agree the game needs more achievement rewards as well for specific things. I would like to see a charm awarded for "Aceing" a match, or "Play Rook 100 times" or something, that showcases your play style, but I digress.

This is all new territory for Ubisoft and it took them, what, 6 months, to realize the persistent meta currency should be used to buy other things especially since people with the Season Pass have nothing to spend their Renown on?
