You can raven feast the gems into D, A has no really good summons.

You can trade wind your big income coastal provinces to exchange A into gold if you want.

You can storm, fog warriors, living air, conjure air elemental, wraithful skies, phantasmal army, arrow fend, thunder fend also that big evo spell forgot the name.

If you really and desperately need A summons then spring hawks arent bad in certain situations.

The thing is that even if i have air casters, none of them are nationals.
So i'm not very likely to have more than one or 2 fairy queens in any big battle, and they will be casting fog warriors, storm, arrow fend, thunder ward and then both of them will be fatigued already.

So i'm not going to be able to cast living air or evocations, since my only air casters will be busy with air battlefield spells.

Spring hawks sound like a good idea. With army of X + mistform+ quickness they can probably do great. Also they are storm immune, right?

Well then, empower a queen once, forge two boosters and staff of storms, dont use empowered queen in battle use normal queens with helmets, use the empowered one to summon.

A3 base plus a helmet, summon stormpower from a staff is A5 and thats enough to cast a lot of big spells with a lot of gems.

I scripted the thread to cast revive itself but it went offscript

So what are the most notable crosspath spells? EF has the magma line, EA has rain of stones, DF has banefire but I don't really know much else about cross path spells, especially combat spells.

I'm not quite sure how this parses? Seems like it should be good *unless* you're fighting a lot of magic weapons. Shouldn't really matter at all what your own units have, unless you're worried about friendly fire.

Their stats are a bit better than normal humans, and they have 50% regen and an intrinsic AP lifedrain weapon.

It's not amazing but it's a lot better than many national troops. They also cost a bit less than half a gem each if you have a N9 pretender (which is the main situation where I'd recommend lamia summoning).

Lamias absolutely need defensive buffs. If you used them without buffs I'm not surprised they didn't do well.

Not at all.

You have about a 60% chance to get either B1 or W1 (chance to get one of them specifically is 37.5%) and a 12.5% chance to get either W2 or B2 (chance for one specifically is half that).

So if you spent 50 gems you'd probably have a single B1 or W1. Empowerment would be nearly as cheap for water, and way cheaper for blood.

On top of that, how many nations can even cast it? I can think of two who have native access (both of which already get water magic), and N/D isn't something people take on their pretenders often.

The way it works is you can make a spell which uses any of the premade effects, which can be found in these lists

Fire Weapons (and most other bless effects) are part of the type-1 buff 'Blessing', so you can't separate it out into a new spell.

First, are you sure you need an awake expander for Yomi? I've been told they have superb expansion with their demons, especially since they have practically zero resource cost. Haven't actually tried it myself, though.

If you do actually want an awake expander, focus on making it cheap. Going awake costs a lot of points (150) so your pretender can't afford to take a bunch of magic paths, and you should avoid high dominion.

Second, unless you're taking a rainbow you should stick to the paths your pretender starts with (unless you have a very good reason). A2 and N4 are costing you 208 points, which is the main reason your scales are so terrible.

Bless effects don't do anything for the pretender.

Earth magic is very useful for most awake expanders because you get a point of natural protection per point of earth magic. In the case of things like earth snake with high natural protection, it makes them nearly invulnerable to indies until they get fatigue.

Oni Kunshu doesn't have good natural protection, though. He's going to be getting less than half the benefit other awake expanders would get per point of earth magic because it gets diminishing returns when stacking with his armor.

Plus he's already got 4 earth magic, and raising it above 6 would just be throwing points away.

How does cold blood work with heat from hell?
I mean, do you get extra fatigue because of cold blood if heat from hell is up while you are fighting in a cold province?
