Bad in that deck as it is unolayable on its own. Good aggro decks can have combos like the bubble bitch work but the cards you combo have to be good on their own as well. Magma rager is not good on ots own and waiting for a turn 6 combo so its not a dead card is not how aggro wins.

It's vastly harder to play around. You can't exactly aggressively mulligan for a Black Knight on the chance that the class you're up against is running C'thun, whereas with boom it was a given that when turn 7 comes around they were going to play him regardless of the archetype of their deck so keeping BGH in opening hand wasn't extremely unfavorable because even as a last resort vanilla 3 mana 4/2 it wasn't a game losing play to toss him onboard without activation.

Where boom could often get entirely shut down by a BGH play, Veklor will more often than not stall 2 turns more often than boom would 2 or 3 for 1. Even with the optimal followup turn of playing BK, he still has another 4/6 on board you can't even trade into even with the BK body.

The argument is boombots couldn't be played around. Playing dr. Boom into BGH or removal was a given, but the boombots represented 2 damage on the board plus 2-8 random damage that could literally decide outcome of the game right there.
I don't even know about the emperors, but I'm playing a divine shield/murloc paladin and I'm rarely in a situation where I can't find 12 damage on the board and in hand, or just keeper/equality them. Strong card, but hardly dr. Boom levels of bullshit.

If it eats removal when your opponent's board is empty, that's good. If it eats removal when yours is empty (except for your 7/7) and his isn't, it's good for your opponent. Your turn 5 also gets shafted because of it.

The other problem is small taunts. I got shafted a few times because of that corrupted tidehunter forcing me to hit the 1/1 with my 7/7, and allowing my opponent to rush me down.

It's a very good card, but I think it's quite a bit overrated on /hsg/.

It's a 5/5 for 5, which is not good. Dies to 5/4s, gets eaten by a Pit Fighter. That's not the main problem with it though, because even a vanilla 5/5 would be better than it.

While you can cheat on curve with it, it's not very likely that you'll get any benefits from it. You generally don't draft many 6+ drops in arena, so it's not even guaranteed that you'll have a 6+ drop in your hand when you play it. Playing it also makes your following plays extremely inflexible if you can't sack the card. What if your opponent plays something that needs to be removed, but your frostbolt costs 5 mana? What if your opponent floods the board, and you can't flood the board in return to counter that? You're forced into a path of big drops, which you may not want to play, or even have.
