No, for all intents and purposes, KSP should be considered still in early access state. The game is nowhere near being able to stand on its own legs both from a gameplay perspective (career mode is definitely not ready and balanced) and a stability perspective. There are still major bugs and memory leaks that shouldn't exist on a finished game.

Bugs and instability are still real and frequent problems, as with every product still in beta. Ask in thread for details.

Modified versions of popular mods are being included in the stock game while the game engine is being upgraded to its latest version. The next major update (1.1) is supposedly going to bring a complete overhaul of the GUI, be 64bit friendly, have a refined physics/heating/aero model and generally perform better. An external team with heavily questionable experience (Flying Tiger Entertainment) is being tasked with porting the game to PS4, XboxOne and Wii U. They seem to be rushing for an imminent deadline and they are also working on a version of the game that will be obsolete in a few weeks/months.

KSP is very enjoyable at first, then it usually needs to be modded to retain some sort of longevity, but doing so may dramatically increase the instability of the game. You will be very familiar with the word "Oops!". The Developers, Squad, have shown many times that they can't handle the project and are trying to squeeze all the money they can with the least amount of effort and with controversial PR tactics. The general consensus at /kspg/ is that you should torrent the game, not because the game itself is unplayable, but because most of us agree that Squad does not deserve your money.

It's not a huge issue since the gear is unrealistically strong but it doesn't exactly look right having an 80 tonne aircraft sitting on three spindly gear assemblies.

I'm tough. I learned long ago not to let other people affect me. And that's important in my life even to this day. It's amazing how many people will snob at my girlfriend and I when we're holding hands in public.
But I also find it extremely important though to treat every person you meet kindly. You never know who might be at the end of their rope, sometimes some kind words and a smile from a stranger are all they need to turn their day around.
I myself have experienced some very dark days only a few short years ago, I had to drop everything and move 800 miles just to get away from memories that plagued me, I found though that the kindness of strangers can do great things to you when you feel the world is against you.

I used to be known as PDtv but i have long since abandoned that SN. For those of you who care/remember after Damion Rayne was fired working with Captain Skunky I was hired as the Media Director. Enough time has passed for a few things to have expired. The biggest including my NDA agreement. So let's get on with this.
Some questions I will be looking to answer. Why KSP news never seemed to hold relevant news and always seemed to lack information along with why certain things were brought to light over others. This included but was not limited to mods, developer notes and progress updates. I will also be touching on the shady side of decisions made which ultimately lead to firing of several employees including Captain Skunky,Damion Rayne, Myself and N3X1S. How much of our work was polished and finished only days before we found ourselves jobless.
Let me start with this. I held the public's view in the highest regard because that is how I started out as one of the public. Those of you that remember I would actively be involved to get input from KSPG while working at Squad. I got involved with the game and after receiving some notoriety eventually made it into the NDA KSP media team. Which was a glorified name for the youtuber community orignally put together by Damion Rayne. Myself and Ryan the Solar Gamer were the very first. Twitch came later and was integrated into the media team by myself and Captain Skunky.

Now with the background out of the way lets get to the real meat and potatoes. When KSP first started becoming a cult like smash indie hit the need for specialized positions became more and more needed. Which is how I originally got my job. I would coordinate with the developers to give insight, pre-release builds and other information distributed through several means. The NDA Media Team, The KSP Weekly and website outlets along with others. I would co-ordinate and schedule all of this with usually only a few days to do so. As one of the "sub dev team members" i was usually left out of the loop until the last minute. What this ment is when many times the KSP weekly would be late to post and it wasn't because my work wasn't ready. Every news letter was carefully scrutinized and edited from my superiors. If they didn't like an article I would be given something to write about and usually have less than 30 minutes to write the section. Cool things that were discovered like the KSP minature fan made board game were quickly shut down and those articles erased never to be seen by the public. One of the largest offenders of articles being replaced last minute and otherwise disappearing was the direct result of your beloved "Max". This man was the perfect man for the job. You so easily fell for his charm you failed to realize he was the direct relation to why so many things were hushed up quickly and quietly. The man was a genius with subterfuge.
Developmental notes were purposefully made vague so that the community would never really know what was being done behind the scenes. C7 Studios I honestly felt bad for him. He alone is the only person on the developement team I still talk to. Bless his heart this guy was sometimes forced to work 16+ hours a day EVERY day during crunch time while the other developers would get days off and only have to work 8 hours a day. He was responsible for programming, art and implementation along with many other things.

Finally the real reason 4 people lost their jobs.
Damion Rayne: While he was outspoken and sometimes hot headed. He had completed the foundation that Squad needed. As such when presented with the smallest opportunistic window he was fired and not quickly replaced.
Captain Skunky: Had helped in building the foundation but was mostly in-charge of managing the forums. Once all of that was taken over by Max he was inevitably fired.
N3X1S: Forever intern I honestly cannot believe how underpaid this man was for so long. After completing the KSP mod page 2 coding he was fired.
PDtv: Myself I programmed the HTML coding for the news letter with a good deal of help from Captain Skunky. I re-assembled the media team and integrated the twitch streamers into it. I created the format which was in use for a long time after I was fired. My HTML coding, My organizational efforts and methodology were all specifically asked for around 1 week before I was fired.
Are you beginning to see a pattern here? After running out of usefulness and completeing the brunt of the work we were all fired. Would you like to guess what my yearly salary was? You weren't even close 2,400.00 USD was my YEARLY salary working a full time 8 hours per day 40hours a week job. Welcome to Squad we pay you like shit then fire you when your work is finished so we can just take it over and maintain it.

Originally I believe it was because I disagreed with the methods for handling the Weekly news when the new PR manager joined. As I explained a lot of the information I had collected was expunged and had to be re-written usually on new topics and with only a positive light. I forget his name but I believe he worked at EA at some point. After talking with (Gabriel) I believe his name was I was allowed to keep my job for about 2 more weeks. Ultimately I believe that it was a direct result of the new PR guy. Though I am unsure of the exact circumstance or final reasoning behind the decision. What were my intentions on this whole reveal? Truth I wanted the people to know what some of those conditions were. Why people seemingly disappeared from the dev team.
KSP used to hold a very dear place in my heart and as a game it always will. Though I have not played a single minute of it since I was fired. Learning what i have since working there changed that for me.
