I always wanted to have the scene from LiT visualized where Victoria accidentally hits Max in the face and takes a photo of her when she is so kind and forgiving despite it.

I like LiS because its story, while not something I find emotionally engaging (due to how cheesy it is), is still entertaining. And the gameplay is closer to a traditional adventure game.

We can see two outcomes: a tragic one where a girl that has grown up with people having expectations of her is pushed too far. Or a triumphant one where one person can save a life by just being their friend.
Some people really just took to Kate and wanted to see her safe and on the road to recovery. And as a story element she helped progress things by giving a consistency between what she and Chloe experienced, allowing Max to start connecting the dots.

Most people just succumb to the idea that the storm is her fault and that she is responsible. When she obviously isn't. She blames herself, which is human and there are things to be said about her not having done things perfectly (which is human too), but she never did predict, let alone want any of it.

While feeling responsible even when you aren't (virtue) could be in a societal context be considered what "being an adult" means, in a philosophical or ethical sense I'd argue it is wise (and therfore mature, grown-up, whatever) to see the futility of feeling as a human "responsible" for things outside of you, let alone on a scale as complex and unforeseeable as these interactions are. Max had been following her heart throughout, and now in the end doubts this way of doing things and herself - this is the last test and for her to "grow up", in my mind she needs to overcome that doubt and keep doing what she did all along: follow her heart and don't think about petty concepts such as "the right thing", "the adult thing", "the responsible thing" or anything along the lines of "what is expected of you". And certainly not think along the lines of "that outcome is better than this other one" - because if the week taught her anything, it's that even with the ability of redoing everything, we can never be sure what happens or how our actions play into it. We can only be sure of why we make the choices, and that's what we should stick to.

Which arguably she could be doing in either ending, but we all know what her heart truly compels her to do.

Just, we see her smoking a joint and she says that she smokes in the "I'll tell you what's in your pockets" sequence, and I think it would have been even for her characterization interesting to see her smoke when she is having a bad moment. And then maybe that she does less and less of that because she doesn't need all these bad outlets anymore all the time now that Max is back.

But there can't be everything in there. Is just surprising in general is all, especially with how much "smoking" fanart there is and since seeing her smoke at some points would have made her feel more authentic. I'd say there would be a week or two period where Chloe gets really bad. Smoking more, drinking like a fish, etc.but she tries to hide it from Max to try to appear strong for her.
And perhaps even Max tries some of the outlets Chloe has for stress relief and tries to hide it.
Ultimately it crumbles and they both have their first fight. Max says she's scared of Chloe killing herself with that stuff, and Chloe tells Max she does not want to see her become like she is. From there they both work on things and do not hide things from each other. It's a long process but they overcome the traumas and stresses they faced.

Nice little piece. I don't think there's a fic out there that deals with what they do during that thursday night and friday morning before the storm hits. It's a pretty good idea, but I guess it's hard to write because you have to somehow build dontnod's idea in there that they go complete retard and forget about the storm, don't warn anybody and then go to the beach alone when it does happen. At least if you plan to stay in canon.

But it's interesting. While yours is obviously supposed to be a little fluff candy, you still have Max contemplate the Jefferson thing, but think about it: this Max hasn't actually experienced that. She only knew about the Dark Room and was (however stupidly) convinced that Nathan is behind it. And then she came to herself and Chloe told her that her future self was just in her body and that Jefferson is behind it all, captured her, killed Chloe... How would Max deal with that? Hell, how would Max deal with the knowledge that at some point her "original" self will take over completely? There was recently a fic that delved into that a bit more, how the AutoMaxes essentially "die".

I could definitely see a longer piece on that. But I personally think "AutoMax" doesn't even exist; The focus mechanic in my mind works just as an instant re-structuring of reality, rather than there actually being a time stream of that stuff happening, let alone it being consciously experienced by anyone. Just like AlternateMax didn't exist before Max restructured reality to fit such a variant, and stopped existing after she rewrote it a second time. All these events, memories etc. are just different configurations that could theoretically be changed into anything at any point.

To get back to before the party, Max only had to go back to the previous night unlike the other times she used her focus power where it was a case of several days so for arbitrary reasons, this time it's just a long rewind. Either that or Chloe went over what futureMax had just told her to keep her from running to her death so that they would have the same story about who, what and where about the Dark Room. Additionally, Nathan himself doing crazy stuff in a secret bunker can be seen as more far-fetched than an adult doing it so to be 310% sure David would put his all into this not that it would take much to convince him to follow up on his own investigations but whatever, Jefferson being behind it had to be brought up.
Or, if you want no level of Michel in the explanation, it was just a slight inconsistency to drive the story along

All of my feels actually came from the part where Chloe was disabled. I had cancer and know what it's like having those financial, medical, and mental challenges. That shit seriously rung true with me. Everything else felt artificial and didn't really get me interested to care enough, for example I didn't help that fat bitch a single time. She got hit by the football. She got wet from the car. I left her in the building to die .Oh and the whole YOUR CHOICES DON'T MATTER LMAO thing at the end kinda turned me off.

I sacrificed arcadia, I wanted to feel justified in the choices I made. the Jefferson twist made me burst out laughing unfortunately. Sometime in chapter 4 I said to myself "you know what would make this game suck? It's if the villain was the least suspected character" love and behold it was the hipster art teacher.. I gotta go to sleep but I have the say I enjoyed the game overall.

Jefferson has several slips throughout the game where he outs himself but since you don't suspect him, you don't really pay that much attention to when he stammers at you bringing up Rachel in relation to Kate and her troubles for example. Really quite funny to go back through the game and notice all the foreshadowing while knowing what will happen.

Not sure I understand the meaning of your question. Max journal was something I actually kept very little track of, in the end all I really used it for was looking at the text messages. Also a useful plot tool for keeping photos to change the past, until it gets burned and max almost gets fucked because of it. I actually don't really have much of an opinion as I only really glanced at it
