So, I've finished it.

It's very small and is focused on two things:
1) The smoke. Map consists of 4 rooms and corridors between them (excluding 8 ways for zeds to come, 4 of which are behind the doors).

At any moment there is only one room that is not filled with smoke. Every few minutes it switches to one of the 2 closest rooms. 10 seconds before smoke will start appearing, yellow strobe lights turn on.

Red lamp above one of the exits will turn green, that's a sign that corresponding room is clear now.

The smoke is very thick, and if you will not move, you will be at a huge disadvantage.

When boss spawns, all smoke is removed.

2) Welding is... Well, from what I've seen, it is extremely useful. Each room has 3 ways for zeds to approach, and if you will weld the door, it will turn into only 2.

First, the doors have around 2 billions health. I'm not sure if it's possible to exhaust all that health in a single game without intention.

Second, its maximum "weld" hp is 2500 instead of regular 1500.

There are only 4 doors, and if zeds (or players) will break one, it's gone forever, so try to unweld them before you move to the other room.

I've added air shafts above all doors so you can nade things on the other side, just destroy its cover with your gun. On BOTH sides, preferably. Molotovs and C4 (unless it was planted behind the door before it was welded) works pretty bad.

Using air shafts you can kill almost all trash behind the door before unwelding it, it's pretty consistent. Scrakes and fleshpounds do not spawn there.

DBS is still a great weapon for clearing spread out crowds and being arguably the top tier 2 weapon until SS comes out and crossbow is under its ownage, especially for its weight.
Feels shit that it takes more altfires to the head to fuck up a scrake though, especially with how close you need to be with this weapon to reach its full potential, at least sirens and husks can still be one shotted with both barrels.

I was thinking that they should increase the max ammo cap for weapons, I get the impression that players do a lot of silly shit to conserve ammo which results in them taking unnecessary damage and ultimately dying. I'm fine with scrakes and FPs being hard to take down but they take so much ammo to take down that you barely have anything left for other enemies.

Use "showdebug weapon" in console and try it with Leadership, then "restartlevel" and try with Call Out.
A lot of info will show up in the top left so you might want to toggle the hud with "showhud"
Leadership's 10% doesn't work in Trader time or if you use SomeTestMap (probably if you switched between Call Out and Leadership between waves.)
The "Timer ReloadAmmoTimer" is how long it takes the animation to register a reload so you can weapon bash or switch weapons to cancel the rest.
The "Timer ReloadStatusTimer" is how long the full animation is with no interuptions.
Like Tenacity 10% damage for Support, 10% faster reload isn't very noticeable but at least it does work with commando's weapons.

I'm pretty sure this is because they balance the game around lower difficulties, there's no way they could play above hard and not see the issues affecting the game.

I'm one of those people who used play commando and I stopped once gunslinger came out. GS is just so much more useful at all stages of the game that I find it hard to justify going back to commando in its current nerfed state. I don't expect TW to buff it to the point that you can easily solo FPs and scrakes but they didn't need to make a dedicated trash clearer even worse than other perks which can clear trash as well as deal a lot of damage to FPs and scrakes.

I just think it's hilarious that the game is a year old and some of the issues from launch are still present because they either don't listen or they don't understand the game's problems.

Roles need to be made apparent, as of now its such an awkward mess.
Dedicated big guy killers should be: Zerk, Demo, SS, Support and Slinger
Firebug, Mando, MA and SWAT should focus on breathing room for the team, all the while the ones above keep the big guys attention on them so thrash clearers don't get a chainsaw in the back when picking off a siren.
Medic is medic, glues the team.

The thing is zerk is given a larger damage bonus all round naturally, which is understandable but everyone else? Nope. I mean look at support for example, remember when 3 DBS altfires to the face could deal with the screk when you had 50% damage bonus? Now at 25%, the risks not worth the reward it once was, especially with so many shells you get. Demo gets the same issue, so few shots, not much power to make up for it. There needs to be at least a half split imo.

1. Night vision is fucking trash, why would you ever want to use it?
2. Regardless of whatever reason you have to want to use it, a flashlight lasts twice as long an does the same job but better.

The aforementioned double battery drain is one reason.
The other reasons being the flashlight does practically the same thing but also illuminates the area for your teammates, not just you.
Night vision also adds scan lines and depth of field effects for no good reason, and if you're trying to see shit then that's not exactly stellar.
The only time a flashlight is worse than night vision is in zed time on a bright map where the bloom makes it impossible to see, but chances are you wouldn't see shit then with or without a flashlight. Not like night vision is much better in zed time either for that matter.

Heat wave has so much utility I would argue it's the best skill for Firebug. As long as you have ammo, it's pretty much impossible for trash to kill you since you'll be knocking them back whenever they're about to hit you. If by original voice lines, you mean removing the filter, it can probably be done.
I believe they placed some sort of filter over his voice, creating that effect. This similar to the trader, and it persists even in my trader mod. I'm using files exported straight from speakonia, yet they still have that effect. It may be possible to remove, but no guarantees if it doesn't clash with the game somehow.

The only reason it was my main thing in KF1 was due to the huge variety of rifles he could use along with how satisfying the sounds were.
KF2 fills neither of those desires. Also with the introduction of firebug, commando is no longer the king of trash clearance and has to work much harder than fb to even keep up.

This means commando has literally 0 purpose in a match or anything that makes him distinct other than ranged engagement. He's already getting outclassed by the existence of sharpshooter weapons, let alone sharpshooter himself.

Commando has always had a hard life and I'd be hard pressed myself to come up with a way in which he can be unique or useful. Zed time extensions are neat and have gotten a lot easier since the new bullet speed increase but that's not enough of a reason to fill up a player slot

Commando historically had the advantage of capacity, very consistent fire, and was a very profitable perk to play because ammo was so cheap.

when you get splash aim at the ground, if the beam makes contact with an enemy then the AoE splash damage won't be applied, you want to hit the ground right next to the zed's foot.

I used to play KF1 a lot, bought KF2 on released, played for 6 hours and uninstalled.

I decided to download the game after one year to see the content released until now, and man, this game is boring. Too few weapons, maps and perks, every game is the same, you buy the same weapons, camp in the same spots, etc. Gameplay is like Red Orchestra too, KF1 gameplay was much better.

You will be using Pulvi 99% of the time, so it doesn't matter much, but I would say Medic AR for healing teammates or Xbow for stunning, depends on your team. Both options are good for taking out pesty Husks and Sirens in the crowd.

Are you serious? Gunslinger arguably has THE LEAST ammo problems out of any perk, aside from Berserker for obvious reasons.
Even with bodyshots the deagle rapes trash. You gotta practice aiming for the head against gorefasts and above, but the deagles otherwise bodyshotting trash makes the job so much easier.

if you're having problems with ammo and money get the dual 9mm, every time it becomes empty sell it and rebuy the dual9mm for free refill for almost zero cost
Practice with the 9mm to pop heads, and remember that you dont have to kill fucking everything in sight, just focus on an area while learning how to aim better and rely on the deagles for anything above a gorefast

this is really only useful for the starting 1866s since it isn't economic otherwise

Wake up, they fucked around with FLeX on their free time. And It didn't work, only recently people started to use it without major bugs on low settings. At the end it was a feature nobody asked for. Same goes with Monetization in Early Access in hopes to steal Counter-Strike players and PvP in hopes to steal L4D2 players. You can say game has a solid structure so far, but nobody can say a decent guess about how long it will last if developers keep humping it that hard, and being that undecided about what they want from the game. I think I would enjoy this game a lot more if so many weapons didn't have such a low max ammo cap. They could balance the game in such a way that if you're the type of player who uses a lot of ammo you can go ahead and buy a lot of it but the obvious downside is that you'll have less money to move into the next tier of weapons if you spend too much on ammo or alternatively if you're good at saving ammo you can buy new tiers soon.

As it is now I often find myself reaching a point where I either have so much money that there's nothing left for me to buy and no one on the team needs money or I don't have enough money to move up to the next tier but more than enough to max out all my ammo.

Basically I don't like how easy it is for some perks to run out of ammo especially on high waves on higher difficulties. I understand the need for ammo conservation but it feels like the max ammo for a couple weapons is way too low, like the AA12 for example. It's really shitty that you save up all this cash so you can buy a nice T4 weapon and then you have to literally count your shots because you get so few of them that every single one matters.

Or maybe I'm just spoiled by gunslinger.

i personally believe the reason that ammo counts on weapons are mostly limited is because the idea behind the SWAT perk is going to be a spray n pray class with the smgs, like skills that encourage mag dumping and doing more damage the longer you hold down the trigger and the like

I personally suck at playing faked with mando. However, there loads of better players than me. I once thought about using a pistol like .44 or MK23 or even Handcannon, because of pierce and their power to bridge your reloads but that wouldn't help at all. Then I searched at YT abit;

Here are a two videos; one with M4-FAL other with AK-FAL. He always seem to go Assault+Battle Rifle combination. And prefers FAL, possibly because of tighter spread and less recoil on full-auto compared to SCAR. Also keeps 37-bullet Assault rifles at single-fire to mitigate recoil, and goes down on iron-sight pretty often with both rifle to mitigate recoil again.
Also at the AK-FAL video it took my attention he really bought pipes for securing the right door, because he wasn't playing solo map.
In a crowded game I always keep both rifles at full auto for the sake of opening cover fire and change back to single-fire when I need to time my reloads. But in solo, things are different as reloading infront of a Gorefast might be your very end. Keep in mind that he knows how to scream cancel Sirens, nade toss combo Fleshpound (innate weakness) and can track the head of a rushing Scrake from full blown FAL. Latter one really depends on your knowledge on recoil patterns which you must compensate from close quarters AND weapon kickback which you must try to control from range.

I disagree, demos are pretty bad right now and on top of their current terribleness bosses also have resistance against explosives. It doesn't make sense because demo's damage is already mediocre. It's almost like TW wants you to bully demos into changing perks at boss waves.

I also don't subscribe to this mentality that you have to have a zerker medic combo on your team, I think that's a failure on TW's part to make the other classes viable, all this dependency on zerker medic combos does is mask the major issues of the game like the overwhelming health pool of big zeds, the lack of options for taking down big zeds reliably and the severe ammo issues teams face when they don't have zerkers and medics to take care of half of the trash.

KF2 should be the type of game where you shouldn't have to worry about whether or not your team is following some kind of meta. As it is now if you want to play above hard you can't do that.

While I agree they took it the wrong way, they shouldn't have gone so harsh on the resistances. e.g. with Hans or Patty, they resist explosives which puts a big fuck you to demo, so okay maybe nuke can at least save it if you can land the rarely appearing zed time in boss fight standards? Nope, they take half from poison too, so not even its normal saving grace can back it up.
If it should offer a disadvantage, there could at least be some sort of fighting chance/comeback for you and what you can do as that class, not have you be a completely wasted slot just because. If they did firebug, i'd rather one of them stomached microwaves better but fire did more to them than just microwave being the complete answer.

Here are the real fix
Support:
remove the stupid 4m fall off mechanic (what is the point of bonus penetration when your damage falls off like wet paper)
1 bonus weight carry every 5 level
1 bonus clip every 5 level

Ammo: Increase your ammo capacity and starting ammo by 40% (current is 20%)
Supplier: allow friends to pick up ammo from you while also automatically giving you ammo when you run out of ammo on a weapon.

Fortitude: Increase your health by 100%. Let's be serious here. Ain't no fucking way this nigga can survive the current GC with zeds running like Usain Bolt on steroid.
Regeneration: Heal 5 HP every 2 second while also giving you 2 HP for every zed you kill.

Bombard: Stumble chance from 60% to 100% and bonus 25% damage
Tactical Reload: fast reload + 2s of temporary 10% damage boost after you finish reloading a weapon

Strength: bonus 5 carry weight and bonus 25% armor
Tenacity: bonus damage from 10% to 15%

Knockdown is the most stupid shit from TWI. I want a fucking stun not a knockdown. Knockdown messes up your aiming. Zeds go into rage mode after a knockdown. LAR and Crossbow are introduced but I'm still pissed because they are dirt cheap and do a better job than a lot of on perk weapon.

You seem to be a bit retarded when you fail to consider why zerk has all those resistances and boosts.
Unless you use the nailgun like a retard, zerk ONLY has point blank options. Zerk is going to get hit, it's that simple. It cannot deal with zeds from range at all.
Remove the falloff on shotguns and you have very decent range. Add in a bunch of damage boosts and the HP/regeneration only looks even more fucking stupid.

As someone who posts too much on the KF2 CommHub, all I've seen so far is them getting rid of people who post regularly and criticize TW a lot.
Judging by screenshots of ban reasons, they've been catching people out for all kinds of shit. Sometimes it's almost as if Yoshiro or the Mod or whoever figure out that they want to ban someone, and then they just wait for them to make a post that somehow "violates the rules" and then say AH HA GOT YOU, BANNED.

Look at Rusty Shackleford, his ban was literally for posting that he expected to be banned for disliking the new moderation.

My take on fixing "dumpport":

Supplier - Add the ability to give 1 grenade per wave. Remove Grenade Supplier from Demolition and put something useful there.

Regen - Remove this and add in a higher armor capacity instead name it something else. Like +60-70 max armor. Because without a medic healing you constantly and patching your armor, life regeneration would be useless anyway, and no way to balance it right.

Personally, I think that support should get 1% max ammo per level and leave the ammo skill at 20%. Stumble should be added to the weapon stats and elite reload should be a perk passive. Replace them with welding skills like blast doors and being able to repair the door health pool. I don't know what the fuck tripwire is doing with safeguard, it seems like it changes every patch unannounced. Sometimes it gives 5 and 5 every extension, other times it gives 5 and another 5 if it extends after it starts speeding up again.

You'll most likely download a 'ServerExt.u' file as a rather lack-luster pace, but don't worry it's only a one-time thing.
The 'ServerExt.u' file is for when I switch the server to the Marco's RPG Perks mod, like how it is right now.

Commando was my last class to level up and I just got to 25 with it a couple of weeks ago.

1st wave, empty that rifle.
2nd wave, bullpup
3rd wave, bullpup ammo and xbow
4th wave, ammo
5th wave, scar and xbow
Keep that load out until the end.

I've consistently gotten highest kill count, damage dealt and big zed kills in a lot of suicidal games, and toward the end some hoe. Scrakes are easy to hit with three bolts in the head (2 bolts, let it do wake up animation but it still won't be raging, you can put 1 or 2 more now), and finishing it with the scar takes not even ten bullets. On suicidal, i killed quite a lot with 4 bolts and nothing more, but the damage seems inconsistent.

Use your healthbar sight to finish fleshpounds with xbow if it seems like it'd help, otherwise just stun them at key moments.

Don't fall for the "you can tap fire in full auto" meme, it's much quicker and more accurate to use single fire mode.

There still needs to be random blizzard events or something so if you do decide to camp out by the trucks, there'll be a snowstorm which thickens the area like the fog and makes distant enemies like blurs until they get up close.

KF1 Commando is trash duty. Your job is to quickly hose down large mobs of zeds, moving around a lot and checking all different directions for ninja zeds. Sneak in some heals for your teammates whilst at it.

You act as a good guard, letting more dedicated roles focus fully their jobs as you wipe away any distraction. E.g. you stop Supports wasting ammo on stragglers, you clean up survivors after Demo blasts and protect him from close quarter zeds, and you keep areas clear to let Zerks and Sharpshooters perform combos on big zeds without any interruptions.

You're effective at literally any range, in both chokepoints and when moving through open areas, the latter being places where Supports, Demos, Firebugs, and Sharpshooters can suffer. Healthbar vision also effectively lets you see through smoke and darkness without gimping yourself to a weapon with a light, unlike others.

Unlike Firebug, you don't create any visual obstruction for Sharpshooters and can't accidentally rage/crisp-up Scrakes and Fleshpounds, ruining other peoples' combos. But you can still get the highest kill count each and every game with ease, as well as shave off the last fraction of HP on big zeds if someone fucks up.

Try the MKB42 and semi-auto'd FAL combo.

Zerks and medics feel almost required, I say almost because you can function without them but expect a rough time without them. Zerk can still be fun but medic feels way more like a chore, even if you pack a crossbow.

Support and demo are way too underwhelming, these guys were meant to clear big threats and wreck multiple enemies at once thanks to their spread, but now it takes way too long and too many of their limited shots to do the job.

Firebugs mindless fun, but its got so much stuff going for it like splash, shrapnel, heat wave etc. that it doesn't hold much risk vs reward thrill and you can demolish things like no other.

Slinger and mando are probably the safer of the 7 so far, straightforward and have plenty of ammo to do their jobs while still having their own traits to make them interesting, e.g. slingers speed and rack em up, mandos visual crutches and health buff.

Heavy strike shit, practice the parry and just hold it down so even if you fail you get the block, use your EMP grenades if you see 2 big guys so you can slow one down for the team and focus the other. Empty pulv on scrakes, loaded on funpounds.
