A lot of the bosses either have multiple targets, which don't gel with Sora's speed and reach (Guard Armor, Clayton, Cave of Wonders, Oogie Manor, Hook, Maleficent, World of Chaos) or have gimmicks which make the fight kind of unsatisfying (Trickmaster, Oogie Boogie, Ursula, Maleficent, World of Chaos).

And outside of those, the bosses usually have limited movesets which make the fight feel rather samey and more like a battle of attrition with the game's slow speed.

It's serviceable and I can have fun with it, but it's definitely a symptom of KH1's minor identity crisis.

I'll be honest. When I got the PS2 version on release, I was a kid who got it because of the Disney characters. And that fight right there was literally unbeatable. I never beat the first Kingdom Hearts until the 1.5 remix came out. The second was much better, but the final Xemnas fight was crazy hard from what I recall. I remember freaking out over the laser assault towards the end.

Can someone please explain to me what Kingdom Hearts Unchained is? I played it for about a half an hour and didn't understand how a difficult could exist in it and the artwork was just a bit unfitting imo. Plot wise it takes place before the rest of the series, before the keyblade war I think. The book of prophecies basically 'creates' the worlds in the future that the player explores, explaining the heartless which aren't a thing yet.

Daybreak town is where most of the actual plot happens. One specific thing to note is that there is a 'traitor' among the Foretellers but they don't know who.

You know I hate to say it, but I think storywise Kingdom hearts is the closest thing a video game series will come to being similar to a classical epic.

With Terra magic finally has a decent aoe considering that Sora&Donald&Goofy weren't as good as Illust Riku and Illust Sora

If anything the edge is with magic because of Pooh&Piglet, but if you have it you are using it in all your keyblades so it doesn't really matter.

It's not that they are bad, it's just that there's no point in doing 10-pulls for medals since the daily deal gives the same medals and you get more for less.

If you are going to do the 10-pull right now is for the higher chance of getting skills, which is nice and all, but not good enough considering the lack of limited medals.

You can get lucky with attack boost II or lux plus, but this will all come back eventually and there's not need to burn jewels for them right now, and if you do, probably only the lux plus is something to make your roll particularly good since you can get 3 attack boost II with the coliseum ranking.

So new medals are bad?

For efficient guilting what you want is 1 6* with 2 dots and 1 6* with 3 dots, if you already have 1 6* with no dots what you want is to make another 6* with no dots and 1 6* with 3 dots.

In your case, just ignore the second half of the image and do the first half that ends on a 6* with 3 dots, and just evolve one directly to 6* to fuse with the one you have.

It's always good to have these deck buffers, which are 2 meter boosts for the entire turn (so, no reason not to have them at the start of your hand). DiZ for power, Aerith for speed and Vivi for magic

Just max them to 5 stars, as 6 star is mostly going to just increase the cost when you could have used that cost in a more powerful medal.

I'll be honest I have no idea about any of the mechanics in this game other than the rock/paper/scissors thing.

I was only gonna level up this Sora because the only other Sora I have is the KH2 one, and this one has a buff attached to it.

So I guess my main question right now is whether or not I should save these.

simple rules to consider:

Look at a medal's power which is it's primary thing. Second, look at their special attack. There will either be a burst symbol (single target) or a burst symbol with 2 asterisks surrounding it (all enemies). Next, look at the attack multiplier. As you'd expect, higher = better. I don't think the number of hits really equates to anything so if the attack power is 4000 and the multiplier is x3, you'll be doing about 12,000 damage with the special regardless of if it says single hit or 12 hits.

Cost isn't too much to worry about. Anything below 6 stars is about 14 cost which isn't a problem. 6 stars are 46ish cost which means they'll take up the majority of your limit.

Also: Spend Nephew medals when you can. You'll come across them in droves, and there's 3 days a week (one for each type) where you can farm them en-masse to easily max out shit. Don't let them clog up your inventory.

Evolution medals are another matter and you might need to keep them for future evolutions though you can toss out Cheshire medals as they're only for 1 star evolutions.

Nah, man. Just use 'em. Even when we stop being Half AP it'll be pretty easy to just have every medal in your inventory at its level cap. The game shits ducks out at you on a regular basis, even when you're not actively trying to farm them on the dailies. Unless you absolutely totally failed to play on any of the Duck Daily days (Tues/Wed/Thurs), there shouldn't be any reason you can't have your shit capped by the time Fri/Sat/Sun comes around with the Evolve Medal dailies.
