I played Dot Kareshi because I liked the concept of being trapped in a game with characters who messed up because of the MC's playstyle, but was really disappoint because of the lack of character development and that there was no actual romantic buildup.

So I finally finished the first route for Sweet Clown, Mitsuhara.
He has big ears in his sprite.
Other than that, it was good. Though I hated him for at least half of his route.

But I'm a bit confused about the ending.
Did they really just get home because Zakuro 'stopped hiding and started acting', or something along those lines? Seems like bullshit and a boring end to me.

My moon skills aren't the best, so maybe I understood something important wrong.
That aside, the extra mode of the game is great. A BGM player (with repeat mode!), a background image album, countdown voices, and profiles? Fucking amazing, I wish all companies would include this stuff. Also, some BGM tracks are really great.
And I'm glad I can finally go for Kuze. I wanted to just ditch that unstable faggot Mitsuhara whenever he popped up. Such a great guy.

I can't remember if this is vague or left out of Mitsuhara's route but the idea is that with a few exceptions Zakuro can only wish for things she actually wants. So she only manages to get out of the castle when she has the desire to live again.

Expect to like Mitsuhara even less in Kuze's route. Kuze himself is adorable and a total bro.

I've finally gotten around to it myself thanks to recent anons here playing it and the sudden surge of content its getting in Japan, and it's very story centric so far with politics, military lingo, archaic vocab in general and hence difficult if that's why you're asking.

On another note, I remember this title getting ripped on here as the worst thing ever a few years ago but it seems completely fine so far. I'm kind of confused about that unless it turns upside down at some point. Though what little they described now sounds like they only read the vague symphosis and don't like anything that isn't slice of life.

I'm glad that people grasped his characterisation/relationship with Kyoichiro and the concept behind it. It's really worth it getting them to spawn there, because the shotas can easily defeat them, and the bridge is relatively free from normal yari so you get lots of easy nodes to farm for KBC, and almost no damage.
And even if you get damaged it's no problem because shotas are fast and cheap to heal.

Yeah, all of the routes continue from the previous game. Vascello Phantasma is great, Festa Regalo is more of a minigame side-story but still cute. Arcana 2 was mostly a letdown, Ash was pretty much the only one with a good route from start to finish.
