I'm sort of inclined to agree, but only because Mega Man 4 is my least favorite. I wouldn't say that it's lazy, more that the level designs are sort of boring. The game does pick itself up a little in the Cossack stage though. The game sort of feels like a step down from Mega Man 3 in some ways though it's not a bad game.

its still a question I'm genuinely curious about, though. I assumed that Gyro man would cut Plant Man's tendrils, but that was the excuse used to give Bubble Man a weakness to Shadow Blade. Plant Man loses this weakness in PF, but I supposed that's because the developers couldn't pass up the obvious pun between Greeks and Gyros. And if Gyro Man is weak against multi-angle weapons, thunder arrow or shadow blade would've been a much more sensible choice.

The weaknesses in the fighting games were dumb and inconsistent.
For example, Dr Light's advice for beating Elec Man was to use an electric-proof weapon, supposedly the Power Stone. But Thunder Beam could break rocks back in MM1.

It's a shame the Wily Wars data shows that they thought out a weakness scheme across 1 to 3 that actually made sense. Like Magnet Man being weak to Ice Slasher, etc.

Yeah I heard that too, I was confirming because I wasn't sure and I know a few people weren't either. Panther sung the hounds which while he's a great vocalist, wasn't the same.

In general the vocals were a bit drowned out but they were pretty great for a live performance.

They also played a brand new act III song sung by gambler as well as this city made us and hold back the night. But with the new song I couldn't make out most of it. It sounded alright though.

I don't know about doing either. I wouldn't make fun of you because I have incredible nostalgia for the series, Mega Man 2, 3, and X are among some of my favorite games of all time. Hell I even liked the ZX games.

I know it's probably sacrilege here, but I didn't like Legends or battle network and never played the star force games because well, they were spawned from battle network.

But I did like the ZX games because I like metroidvanias and it still works as the basics of an action platformer.

Nah, there's nothing wrong with that. Everyone has prefrences. The Mega Man franchise has different playstyles to suit almost anyone.

If you are willing to give Legends another chance though, I high suggest Legends 2 as it's a huge improvement on the first game, or The misadventures of Tron Bonne. I can understand the dislike of Starforce. I liked Battle Network but not Starforce. It felt like it was a huge step back from everything Battle Network built upon.
