nope, gardevoir's comes out much faster. it's almost instant, sometimes i try to grab her and she uses it while my grab has started but the animation / hitbox comes out before the grab actually connects

meanwhile machamp's is probably about 0.2 or 0.3 seconds of startup, it gets interrupted all the time

they're similar in that the activation zone is right in front of them and they have a decently high hitbox and have no invincibility, sure, but the time between super flash and deployment are far apart

The higher your rank is, the higher chance you can spam dig and nothing else, and your opponent will mindgame themselves to death thinking there's no way someone at that rank would do something like that.

Gardevoir is so good. So good she should be considered cheap to use. Her calm mind is so safe and can camp fron across the screen with her projectiles. Her teleport approach is amazing since you can do pretty much any aerial out of it. Teleport forward to counter is crazy good.

That's silly. Pikachu is the mascot of the franchise and Charizard is one of the most popular Pokémon of all time (for good reasons, unlike Lucario for example). As much as Pikachu annoys me, they have every reason to be in this game.

Calling Mewtwo overrated seems strange to me. There is a lot of reason to like it (the most notable being The Birth of Mewtwo imo), I think it deserves the love it gets. I agree with your point about Shadow Mewtwo though.

I definitely need to use Shadow Sneak less when applying pressure. It's not safe at all and taking critical damage from everything isn't very fun.

the end of round 1 we both were liike 1 hit away frrom dying in field phase. I sent out ice traps as he moved towards me, and sent out his side y disc projectle things right as I had jumped but if I went into my ice skate thing they still would have hit me, but if I just let the jump contiinue he would have been right on me when I landede, so I icicle crrashed away to push myself above and behind him and skated then into his back from behind and got the win

Not taking those supports seem to make people play less safe, at the obvious cost of not having that free escape.

Mewtwo has a lot of tools to fuck up Weavile. Instead of playing your normal offensive game, you gotta play HIS game. Mewtwo is in control when he's on the field. Block often and go for grabs and counter attacks more often than actual attacks.
