I can't decide what kinda build I wanna go for to PvP.

I'm glad that stats can be reset via the covenant, because thusfar my build is fucked.

On one hand I want a beefy str build, but a faith/dex seems build seems fun too.

I think I might have overleveled.

SL 40 and I've only just cleared Curse-Rotted Greatwood. Granted, none of my weapons are upgraded at all, but still. I just wanted to be able to roll in a full set of Lothric Knight armor with their sword and shield.

Oh well, at least that 18 in Dex is going to serve a point once a BK eventually drops their BKGS for me.

Yeah I think my next character (already beat the game) will stop between 60-80, maybe just 70.

I haven't played DaS3 yet but is there a lore reason for why all the enemies in DaS3 are all giant Van Helsing-esque gothic horrors? Everything, including human or formerly-human enemies, seems to be 8 or 9 feet tall compared to the manlet player character. Compare this to DaS1 where hollows, human skeletons, and other human-based characters were about the same size as your character.
And in DaS1, enemies felt like they made sense. In the Undead Burg you found undead humans, in the Catacombs you found human-sized skeletons, in the Giants Tomb you found giant skeletons, in Blighttown you found human-size mutants, in the swamp you found swamp wildlife, in the forest you found forest wildlife and rangers, in the Demon Ruins you found big demons, in Anor Londo (where it made sense for things to be bigger than you) you found giant enemies (and even then, the human characters like painting guardians were human-sized). The only place where you found a gothic horror-style enemy was the harpies in the Painted World, which made sense because a fictional world within the fictional world. The only enemy that felt "out of place" and random to me in DaS1 was the pink lightning demon things in Anor Londo (same ones that carry you in the cutscene). In DaS3, half the enemies feel as out of place and random as those. Why are there all these non-human creatures that are simply grotesque monsters who don't match the environment and the humanoid characters like knights and witches are twice your size?

The pre-mist wall sprint means that any buffs I put up beforehand are half-over by the time I reach flippy mcflamesword. And if I actually want to summon like a shitter, then I have to deal with paired darkwraiths.

Anyone else having issues with password summoning? I'm starting to think there is some kind of level range for password summon scaling because we had no issues when we were around the same level.

Just finished my first run with it, it was pretty fun. Starts out weak as shit but holy fuck I feel like it really builds up later in the game. All the damage sponge mob enemies were suffering, though.

Stat softcaps are fucking stupid.

1. They limit build customization. You get 40 dex/str/int/fai/end, and that is literally your build; you cannot go for extra damage or extra stamina instead of more health.

2. Makes NG+ and beyond even less interesting because your character does not grow anymore despite the enemies getting way stronger than you would even if you could level up meaningfully.

BULLSHIT. You both have the same amount of stats to allocate as long as you're fighting around the same level (and you should be).

Guy put 99 points into dex and the rest into stamina? If you have a well rounded build, you will both kill each other in 2-3 hits except you will have more stamina than he does; and you'll be able to block. The fight is balanced because you have the same amount of stats to allocate (assuming the stats themselves are balanced - and they generally are).

So, in summary, there's no reason for softcaps to exist except fromsoft is either against fun or too worried that you'll do something they don't expect (hint: people do that anyway).
