Does anyone else feel that the game is lacking gimmick areas?
There is no senS fortress, no tomb of giants, no shulva, no brume tower, no shaded woods.
All we get is a swamp that has been done better.
I was so hyped for the giant archer in undead settlement.
It could have been a 4-1 with some sweet cliff exploration and destructible structures, but it was nothing.
Why?

I'm done with the Souls series.
Call me a casual all you want but frankly, those games are fucking garbage.
First I started with Demon's Souls, the most niche since it appears only
on PS3 so I expected a certain level of quality... I was wrong.

Almost immediately the game dissappointed me on it's delivery, the character rather than
running slides making it look like an autist on a skateboard, very irrealistic for
a game that gets namedropped for the "awesum atmosphere!!!!".
I got killed by the huge monster and "blahblah ur supposed to", well get fucked,
it's shit.
I manage to understand how to enter worlds after a while, apparently it's a hub-world kind of deal
(1999 called they want their mechanics back).

Long story short, I got literally killed like 60 times already and I've heard I'm supposed
to reach a boss...
This game isn't "hardcore" it's plain frustrating, it isn't "atmosferic" because graphics and movement
feel like they are ripped from a PS1, it isn't "fun" unless you hate yourself.

This isn't over though I said to myself maybe Dark Souls will be better so I download it from
Steam and apparently it's stuck at 30 FPS for some reason (crysis, metro, prey all work like a charm so
dont try to point at my PC because your PC might aswell be a fucking portable fridge compared to mine.

Now I tell you what, even if I pretended the FPS businness was nothing (hint: it's a HUGE deal and
if you're into gaming you know that) the game itself gave you a fucking broken sword at the beginning with which you
deal as much damage as a toothpick.
At that point I was already mad, then I get to this boss (it had a huge healthbar so I guess it was a boss)
and it kills me and kills me and kills me without me being able to do any substantial damage until I fucking Alt+F4,
tear off the printed steam code and delete all the game contents.

I'm trying to perform at a decent level with the Farron GS but it is outclassed by traditional weapons. It can't poke as well as katanas and it won't stagger as well as the other greatswords. It seems to have a decent match up against straight swords though, funnily enough.

It doesn't. Blessed weapons have terrible damage in exchange for health regen and killing skeletons permanently (might also do more damage to skeletons)

If people put a lot of hours into previous Souls titles, there is even less reason for them to have to summon for a boss in this game. Every other boss can be related to the attack pattern and moveset of one from a previous title, or a tamer version of one.

I've done about half of the bosses so far not in ember 2bh

It is almost impossible for me to coop in some areas. Half of time I got summoned for the Dancer fight the host is a moving statue and I can't even enter the god damn fight. On the other hand some bosses like Nameless King are usually fine for coop.

Is there a guide or something for getting every gesture yet? Like a by area checklist, rather then a big list of gestures?

The game is great and probably the best in the series. To 90% of the problems posted in the past days there is literally a solution right at hand.

The bosses are among the best yet. Active, agressive and unpredictable at times. Make for a much harder combo than DaS2's predictable, easy to avoid mechanics.
So are the regular mobs. Some new and fresh.

The level design is miles ahead of the second game and pretty equal to the first. And the entire atmosphere is breathtaking thanks to new engine. Except for some mine annoyances the entire levels feel and play great.

And dont even get me started on balance. You fail to realize this is a PvE game. If you want FAIR PVP then organize pvp guilds/squads/meetups. The unbalanced weapons system is perfect for PvE as casuals can use the meme tier while more experience players can enjoy a challenge with weaker weapons.

After killing Pontiff Sulyvahn, Patches ceases to pester you for Greirat's location. If you managed to save Greirat he will return and state he was saved by an Onion Knight (which is suspected to be either Patches in disguise or Siegward himself).

So basically, I can't buy the onion armor from patches till Eleum Loyce, which means I can't do the Siegward questline and have Greirat survive in the same NG. Is that correct? Or onionman will just wait for me in the well forever?

Finally killed nameless king, I didnt jump for joy, I didnt feel good, im glad that shits over.

Is there a way to turn off the ember effect on your character? It's not doing well with my Irithyll Sword.

What weapons are they nerfing? I can't find the patch notes.

Patches saves Greirat, as an onionknight, if you didn't bought the armor. This makes more sense because I did have onionbro in the kitchen and Greirat died anyway, but I didn't talk to Patches at all.

I'm done with the Souls series.
Call me a casual all you want but frankly, those games are fucking garbage.
First I started with Demon's Souls, the most niche since it appears only
on PS3 so I expected a certain level of quality... I was wrong.

Almost immediately the game dissappointed me on it's delivery, the character rather than
running slides making it look like an autist on a skateboard, very irrealistic for
a game that gets namedropped for the "awesum atmosphere!!!!".
I got killed by the huge monster and "blahblah ur supposed to", well get fucked,
it's shit.
I manage to understand how to enter worlds after a while, apparently it's a hub-world kind of deal
(1999 called they want their mechanics back).

Long story short, I got literally killed like 60 times already and I've heard I'm supposed
to reach a boss...
This game isn't "hardcore" it's plain frustrating, it isn't "atmosferic" because graphics and movement
feel like they are ripped from a PS1, it isn't "fun" unless you hate yourself.

This isn't over though I said to myself maybe Dark Souls will be better so I download it from
Steam and apparently it's stuck at 30 FPS for some reason (crysis, metro, prey all work like a charm so
dont try to point at my PC because your PC might aswell be a fucking portable fridge compared to mine.

Now I tell you what, even if I pretended the FPS businness was nothing (hint: it's a HUGE deal and
if you're into gaming you know that) the game itself gave you a fucking broken sword at the beginning with which you
deal as much damage as a toothpick.
At that point I was already mad, then I get to this boss (it had a huge healthbar so I guess it was a boss)
and it kills me and kills me and kills me without me being able to do any substantial damage until I fucking Alt+F4,
tear off the printed steam code and delete all the game contents.
It's not the games, it's you. You're bad and you know it.
