Let's talk about the Untended Graves.

What exactly do you believe is the plot significance of that entire area? It's filled with ominous descriptions and some similar-yet-wrong sights, but at the same time beyond "shit's fucked" it's hard to really discern what's what.

So here's what I'm going to point out as being a thing:
>Entrance to the Untended Graves is behind a hidden door just beyond the Oceiros boss room (a man obsessed with Seathe and producing an heir to Link the Fire)
>There is no "transition", it's seamless
>Sky is pitch black
>We face fully-hollow dogs and Grave Wardens in an environment noted for it's UNTENDED graves
>Champion Grundyr is no longer a statue (Iudex is latin for "The statue of a judge"), and no longer has the Firelink Sword through his chest
>Silver Knights patrol the area around the Firelink Shrine
>You can find the ring of Ciaran near the Firelink Shrine
>The fragment of the Firelink Sword that was missing in Iudex is found in the Bonfire cup
>The Fire Keeper killed herself, she had eyes that came from "the first firekeeper" and revealed horrors untold
>The Handmaid is still there, she brings up the fire "went out" because the Champion never came and the bells never sounded, supported by the Champion's soul
>She sells Artorias Gear, he is confirmed to have started the Farron Legion
>Andre is gone and replaced with the Blacksmith's Hammer
>If you give the Eyes to the living Fire Keeper, a new song plays that's called "Secret Betrayal."

What does this all mean? Why are their Silver Knights?

I think I already know the answer, but when you go into NG+ you don't keep any of your Bonfires from NG do you? Having to kill bosses and lose invasion potential is kind of fucking annoying when there's no way to unlock areas without killing bosses.

Iudex simply means judge, not statue of a judge.

I think it's an alternate reality where the Ashen One failed to link the flame. Life has ground to a halt, darkness is all consuming. There's too many disconnects to simply suggest that it's the 'real' universe, as that would imply that your quest is to link the flame of a dead world. The existence of dark firelink in relation to the rest of the areas doesn't make sense if you take it to be physically connected rather than a portal to another world.

Firelink Shrine was hollowed out and "lived in" over the hundreds of Cycles, the Undead Burg probably moved as a result.

The Ludleth you meet in Dark Souls 3 is more or less a "briquette", he was already burned but did not truly die, for one reason or another. He is exiled because, possibly, he came from the world of the Untended Graves.

Lothric did not link the fire because Lothric was a coward, he was a weak, sickly child that refused to pick up his duty and wanted to watch the world DIE. This is supported through combat dialogue mentioning how he does not want to Link the Fire and he wants to literally "watch the fire fade." He's consigned himself to death and would rather wait for it to come over the long aeons than go up in literal flames.

They were all people who were supposed to be dead. They are, essentially, Hollow from the outside world that were forced to make pilgrimage to the one place where the Hollow Curse can supposedly be cured.

Just beat the game and the final boss was alright.

Idk but this game felt easy as hell as a pure STR character. As soon as I got Yhorm's blade I blazed through bosses. Beat the final boss my second try, even though it was cool it felt way too easy.

As soon as it switched to magic spells al I did was run in and r2 chain stagger.

Does poise reduce the damage you take during hyperarmor?
I've noticed that hitting other player earlygame in full knight/lothric knight armor when they do the straightsword's weapon art thrust (which has hyperarmor) causes them to take much less damage than normal. Like 60% of the normal damage they'd take.

The UGS stomp also has huge damage reduction, except it's not mentioned anywhere in its item description. Only that it boosts poise.

Has anyone tested damage during hyper armor with different poise values? Things like the Lothric Knight Spear and Yhorms Greatshield, as well as the Wolf's Ring all boost poise without changing your defensive stats, so it'd be pretty easy to test if there's any small variation in damage when those are being held vs when they're not.

It can be both, but it's probably the latter.

That is more or less the correct answer, the Soul of Cinder description explicitly states that the Soul of Cinder is the embodiment of every noble soul that had Linked the Fire.

The Lords of Cinder naturally contain embers, the description of an Ember confirms this. Embers are what are needed to reignite a flame. You needed as many embers as you can to ensure the highest chance of igniting the First Flame. If you went to the Kiln and killed the Soul of Cinder without the Lords of Cinder, you would've had nothing to use to reignite the dead fire.

Fight him camera unlocked unless he's about to throw a lightning spear. That makes the first half of the fight SO much easier. If you fight unlocked and stay near enough to the front it also prevents the dragon from breathing fire too often.

I still summoned to beat him though. His phase 2 attacks have hit boxes that seem to persist for just too long, frame perfect rolls are needed to dodge some of them.

I was being summoned in Cathedral of the Deep, and I got spawned right behind one of those twin sword guys outside.

This was, unfortunately, the very first time I'd ever been to this place, so I spent the rest of my time running around looking for the host, I found them fighting a giant but I couldn't join them and eventually a mace hag killed me.
