The only positive thing about CMO is the ability to call the shuttle.
The hypospray from a medical standpoint is underpowered and not even worth taking out of the locker, as you are more effective carrying around 7 or 8 pill bottles full of various damage types.
As a weapon standpoint, it is a useful refillable autoinjector that you can use to quietly dispose of unwanted troublemakers and in-department pests that refuse to quietly step down from a demotion.
Out of all of the department goodies Medbay has always gotten the shit end of the stick. Until the middle of last year I believe or later medbay didn't have any department specific traitor items.

HOS is more suffering than CMO

CMO gets to help injured people all round and dunk the occasional shithead in disposals
HOS spends 70% of the round dealing with greytiding shitheads that he knows aren't even antags

I was 196, the Juggernaut. For clarification concerning the grey Miner, I did not see the Nar'sie cult symbol hovering above his head and as he was shouting "RUN! RUN!" to another person with no symbol above their head I reasonably assumed they were both two crew members at the wrong place at the wrong time. Seeing as we needed two more volunteers, I went after both of them and got the shaft miner first before dragging him back and shouting to "CONVERT HIM!" believing he wasn't a cult. I'm not sure if he actually was but one or two people were saying so in OOC. I apologize if I actually did ruin anything, I did not see any symbol above his head and he made no indication of being a member of the cult.

You need to create goals for yourself, that's how I find most roles fun. For example, I recently played a capitalist chaplain. I made a goal to try and grab every vending machine from the station into the chapel, and then try to sell them off to people. When most of the station went to shit with spiders and stuff, it actually made getting the machines back challenging, even more when the maint system blew too.

Thinking of it, my favorite thing to do is play a Mime, immediately Pray in-character for a Plague Doctor getup, try to get all-access (or at least Medical) and basically be a non-killing/zombie making SCP-049. That's incredibly complicated and rarely works out though. Many HoPs are stingy with Medical access.

Last round I did chaplain but this time as a soviet and instead the idea was the replace the vending machines first with BODA soda machines. Then I realized I had no idea how to do that and only made two empty vendomats, so I grabbed a mechanic scanner and launched myself hoping to get to the derelict and scan a machine. I instead landed on a small asteroid filled with hivemind bots where I first prayed for a glorius weapon of russian engineering, but instead had to settle with the crowbar I brought. I killed all but 3 of them when I bled to death from their shots.
