All the fights in F/SN aside from Shirou/Gil and maybe Gil/Herc are just pure power beatdowns where people only win or lose based on being stronger than the opponent like Medusa getting BTFO unless she has Rho Ais backup.

In Extra it's the same shit where all your wins only came because of incompetent masters or Hakuno researching up the ass, or shit like Karna/Li Shuwen getting nerfed so bad that it wasn't even relevant how strong they originally would be.

I don't get that at all. I don't feel Illyasviel had any intention to win or any interest at all in the Holy Grail War. Unlike the other gatcha, it doesn't matter.

Just understand that there's a bunch of rare materials in that gatcha, and you can keep rolling it infinitely as long as you keep getting pages. Then once you've emptied out the gatcha, you can reset it.

There's only a certain number of items in that gatcha, you're guaranteed to get rare shit either way as longa s you keep doing it. You can scroll down and see what's in the gatcha at any point, see how much of an item is left in there. If its only shit left in there at some point, you can reset it early.

Whether you get the CE in your first spin or last spin doesn't matter, you can empty out the gatcha fairly easily, and you can keep spinning it over and over with minimal grinding.
