I don't really join 4chan guilds anymore, but from the few I did join, you can always be sure that there are 2 almost separate entities in each one:
1) the players who log in to a near dead guild chat and simply play the game, fading into the background
2)the players who all join a voice chat, forming relationships with each other and placing priority on the people who join said voice chat in regards to group invites, etc

ive been a part of both groups, and i honestly just prefer when theres no voice chat, since theres something about it that causes people to sperg into little circle jerks and drama to inevitably ensue

in some of the more obscure mmos ive played with /v/, the guilds without any form of voip always ended up doing pretty well

But if it's there from day 1 I can guarantee you it is a fucking kiss of death for a guild. You will simply separate your guild into non-voice and voice and whichever is the majority will hate the other half.

That's not skill, that's just autistic time dedication. I don't take this game seriously because the devs have conflicting design choices. They allow you to avoid every melee attack and boss move, but then they shove in unavoidable ranged/magic shit to give healers a reason to exist. It makes no sense, and makes the game a poorly thought out cute simulator instead, which works for me.
