Yeah the fact that I summoned for the giant because I was so fed up with the faggotry the game was throwing at me and then I find out "Whoops it's a really awesome fight" hit me hard and has made me think about either restarting with higher hp to deal with the bullshit or waiting until they patch this. I'm so fucking mad at how the first part of the game is the best souls experience I've had and the second half is easily the worst I've ever played. Also why is the caestus pve so shit? Terrible range and does jack shit damage for bigger armored enemies, it doesnt even stagger them with how many L1s I mash. It's only good for stunlocking lightly armored human enemies but the straight sword can just deal with everything just as easily.

People keep bitching about invasions always being a 3v1 but Invaders are also as cancerous as the scrubs they claim to be invading who are "hiding" behind summons.

I've had six invasions while I was just going through the game by myself and I have won five of them. Of the six only the one that actually beat me actually displayed anything resembling skill and actually stayed in the area to fight me even when he was low. The rest would constantly all try to fight me and when their shit got pushed in they would run away to hide behind enemies and chug. In all but one of those cases after it happened once or a few times they would fuck off to hiding behind enemies and trying to lure me into a group of them. The odd man out just died running away from me the second time.

Every single time they started hiding behind enemies I just ran to the bonfire and summoned phantoms. I got fanmail from two of them calling me a shitter for summoning phantoms which speaks volumes to fucking hypocrisy of these people bitching about invasions being ganks.

It's literally just people bitching that they don't have the advantage anymore and can't hide behind the instant they start losing or gang up on the host with them.

Movement and stances, there are slight differences between male and female, you never noticed?

Go to character creation screen, pick a knight or something else with bulky armor, then switch between male and female gender and see how the stance changes, this affects everything, attack animations, running animation, rolling, etc... its subtle but its there.

I summoned a girl to help with the tree boss because I wasn't in the mood to kill that boss again and she stunlocked the boss somehow.

How the hell is SL31 too high for Watchdog PvP at Farron Keep?

I started SL 9, leveled up twice at Firelink, and only leveled 2-3 levels per area and took Yoel's free five levels, but I haven't had a single summoning in Farron Keep as a Watchdog. I was doing just fine at Road of Sacrifices but now after Cathedral and completing most of Farron Keep I can't get a summon to save my fucking life.

I just spent 35 minutes grinding those three Ghrus outside of Keep Ruins just to get six Wolfgrass.

I just finished the final boss and it's no joke the best boss fight i've ever seen in a game.

The final boss is you. I always wondered if they'd do it and they fucking did. He swaps between strenght, dexterity, miracles, sourcery, piromancy. The theme is so similar to Gwyn's indicating how you became him. I love to hate on things as much as anyone here but i'm so happy that i was able to see this trilogy to it's end. What a perfect final fight, it makes me remember why i love video games so much.

Why did strength and faith get fucked so hard in 3?

Poise isn't busted. It works exactly as intended. Enemies get the DaS1 version where they can just eat attacks without staggering and you get the DaS2 version which just increases your hyper-armor.

What kind of stat and Infusion progression should or can a PVE Pyro follow through the early game into late game? Should I aim for 30/30 Faith and Int by the end of my first playthrough (apparently around level 80) while accounting for other stats?

Fire Gems? Dark Gems?

Maybe I should just play a Knight and get my bearings on my own, nobody seems to really know even though I've managed to glean some knowledge. I have this vision of the Pyromancer I want to make but I guess to do it justice I need to go through once, I don't know.

What are some surprising weapon picks that sucks in PvE but are nasty in PvP?

The Gotthard swords, and the Grave Warden swords for me. Gotthard hits like a truck, and the Grave Warden ones, if you're a dex-build, and add bleed onto them basically make people bleed in one combo. It's insane how quickly people drop.

It doesn't matter if you get hyper armor when said hyper armor doesn't kick in until halfway through your attack animation. In the time it takes me to get to my hyper armor on a claymore, an uchi can slash me twice.

The reason shit like Giantdad worked was because poise actually guaranteed you could take a hit or two before getting staggered but now unless you're the god of hard reads and can predict exactly where a fast roller is going to be three second from now, there's no way to get to your hyper armor frames before they can stun lock your ass.

I don't believe it, I haven't lost to a single greatsword user yet in PvP. Morion Sword/Dark Sword can hit them before their mid-swing or weapon arts hyper armor can come into play. The in-between of their first and second swing is slower than my swings, so if they poise through a swing and hit me and I'm stagger it isn't that big of a deal because my post-stagger swing will interrupt them before their second swing, unless they're using an Ultra Greatsword which has that pull up swing for the follow up.

Which is insane considering that Lightning Stake was designed to be a close range lightning miracle and Lightning Spears being close range makes it redundant. Who wants to bet that making Lightning Spears close ranged was done at literally the last minute? In the Network test they worked totally fine and did damage comparable to the previous games.

Now all of a sudden they are garbage at anything but close range and are filling the same role Lightning Stake was supposed to fill. It reeks of a sudden design change near the end of development.

I heard some people mention that the covenants where players have to have the badge equipped to be summoned are a little buggy.

Unless you're mashing dodge there's no way the i-frames aren't saving you. Just get the rhythm down and you won't need to sight him to dodge.

Lightning spears do less damage the further they travel.

Seriously if you hit an enemy point blank they do quite a bit of damage.

Also they already nerfed miracles in 2, they reduced the number of casts and said they were gonna increase the damage to compensate, what they actually did is reduce the casts AND reduce the damage.

I reckon they got the balance right in this one.
